I'm posting with @bulmoose permission after we discussed if this was right to call out people but since this isn't the first or last time this group has gone after people, we decided to toss the grenade. They talked about me too and tried to cover themselves by telling their friends this one time not to attack me lol. I let @bulmoose decide what she wants to do since she's in their discord. I'm going to take a page out of their book and ask you all not to pile on them for their behavior. This is so you all are aware.

I have more including past comments in that discord about a black person using the race card. I was disgusted, stopped going to the discord and told some people who did almost give these screenshots to The Unhinged Fellowship. I shared them with one of the mods at @fandomshatepeopleofcolor months ago.

The only reason I didn't blow up their discord earlier because I didn't want to cause drama and I knew how Haladriels would be viewed by people like The Unhinged Fellowship.

But this group is toxic, bullies and they talk about all of you like this. I have a lot of screenshots.

im allowed to like peter maximoff as a character and still hate the racism that comes with whitewashing the comic book character who was jewish yet was never portrayed by a jewish actor. same with magneto. micheal fassbenders performance is amazing but they still shouldve cast a jewish actor to play him as his main story arc is bring a traumatised jewish man who survived the holocaust and therefore doesn't trust humans to not treat mutants like they did the jews. i love the characters snd the actors but i cant deny how racist fox is by not casting the right minorities for minority roles, and i cant excuse the blatant whitewashing of pietro by renaming him to seem more american.

white people, you and yours need to remember that just because you’re a ~big fan~ of characters of color, just because you ~make so many ship posts~, that doesn’t absolve you of the bad that you may do. that doesn’t excuse you from being critical of your own fandom presence and fandom capital.

the most dehumanizing, demeaning, and disgusting treatment i’ve seen of sam wilson and finn come not from malicious racists, but from vocal white allies who are incredibly proud about their status as being ~big name “sam wilson and finn and t'challa and poe dameron and helen cho wow do i sure love the brown folk!!” fans~.

i’ve seen white fans very clearly use these characters of color to play out white savior complexes. i’ve seen white fans say, “protect [characters of color!!]” and then in the same breath, fetishize those very same characters of color.

i’ve seen white fans priding themselves on ~calling out fandom racism~ but then turn around and say, “i’m just so glad scarjo is going to be the major, because my favorite actress is going to be playing my favorite ghost in the shell character!!”

i’ve seen white fans use the term “klandom,” as if they’re not white. i’ve seen white people reblog intracommunity posts that are very much not meant for them. i’ve seen white people very intentionally use characters/real people of color for their user icons and leave out the fact that they’re white in their about me pages.

i’ve seen white people in fandom talking about how gross malicious fandom racism is, and then turn around and appropriate and fetishize a myriad of asian cultures without seeing a problem there.

i’ve seen white people in fandom speak over people of color about their own marginalization. i’ve had white people in fandom (and other non-asian people of color, to be fair) speak over me and act as a ~voice for the asian community~ while my own posts about racism in fandom - posts that draw from my own lived experience - go nowhere.

white savior complexes in fandom are real. rachael dolezal syndrome in fandom is real. ally theater in fandom is so, so real.

and just because you ship finn/rey or call sam wilson your ~pwecious baby birb pwince~ or posted ONCE about how the doctor strange trailer relies on orientalism and cultural fetishism, just because you reblog this post, doesn’t make you a good ally.

that lies in your actions and thinking CRITICALLY on your motivations as to your actions and the impact of your behavior and actions in fandom. only then may you even BEGIN to be a “good ally.” allyship is a constant act and it requires constant analysis of your own privilege and power. it’s hard. it’s complex. it’s constant.

It is ALWAYS about race.

No matter how you twist it, fandom’s collective and constant dislike of characters of color (especially if they’re in relationships/shippes with white male characters) for some reason you “just can’t put your finger on” is directly related to race.

Your race.

Their race.

Race.

From “Iris and Barry are like siblings” despite him being in love with her his whole life to “Sam Wilson would be a more realistic Hydra agent than Tony Stark” to “Lucy Liu doesn’t look like she has the emotional range to play Watson” to “I don’t hate Finn because he’s black, I just think he’s a boring character”, it’s all so very clearly about race and fandom’s issues with it.

If y'all would admit that instead of clinging to every ninny who writes a post about how people who call out fandom’s racism are sjw bullies using buzzwords and coopting language/terms (that um, btw, WE CREATED), maybe we wouldn’t have this problem every time a fan of color goes “hey, this thing fandom does is racist”.

For once fandom, maybe consider listening to fans of color who have issues with the way they and characters that look like them are treated by fandom.

As everyone is aware. I have been living in a shelter with my 6 year old child. Some days we aren’t able to go to the shelter because we arrived too late.

If anyone has ever been in a shelter or homeless, they know the risk of theft and assault. I was the victim of both.

It’s hard to talk about it but I need to because I desperately need help. My son’s dad is NOT active and I don’t have any family that I am in contact with and the one’s I do talk to have no space for us. My aunt offered my son and I to live in Georgia but only if I can get there.

No one is obligated to help obviously but please at least reblog so those who can help, will help.

I have absolutely nothing to hide.

I was asleep when I heard someone rummaging through my things. When I jumped up, it was a middle aged man going through and taking whatever he could get his hands on. He took my charger, my food stamp card, my debit card and phone was thankfully in my pocket. When I confronted him, he hit me with some bottle that bounced off of my son.

My son and I were put out of the shelter in the middle of the night for “causing drama for other people.” We arent allowed back there. I’m currently sitting in McDonald’s using wifi.

No. I didn’t get ANY of my things back. And I’m not sure if the man was kicked out too.

I’m a young black mom just trying her best. It’s 2 am. My son is awake and hungry.

If anyone has literally ANYTHING at all. I’m begging for help.

I just want to get to Georgia. I want to be able to sleep at night. I want my son to take a real bath and eat real food. I want to work. Please.

Edit: I didn’t expect the post to circulate this much but she goes through the most wardrobe changes in this show. We were given BTS footage where she does get costume upgrades as all heroes are expected to. Anna even confirmed it multiple times in interviews. I wonder what excuses fanboys & girls will come up with next.

it goes back to that quote about white people worrying about being called racist is really more about white narcissism than actual concern about making change and how they will still think that their own fragile feelings need to hold centre stage.
