Mnemosyne
The Titan who aids the oracles in remembering their visions. She also aids in the recall of dream messages from the gods. And she is the one who allows artists to remember the inspirations brought on by her children: the Muses.
Mnemosyne
Traditionally, prayers and offerings were made to Mnemosyne so that supplicants would remember any oracular visions they had. This was often done as part of the rituals of specific oracles such as the oracle of Trophonius at Lebadeia. These prayers could also be offered before incubating dream visions, as well. This occurred in some temples to Asclepius, god of healing.
I am so grateful for this deity for many reasons but especially for her connection to the facilitation of healing.
Mnemosyne
Titanide/Titaness of memory, especially of rote memory, oral storytelling, and recitation from memory. According to her myths, she invented spoken language and was mother to the muses.
When I tried saving this public domain image of her to my phone, she intentionally moved it to the beginning of my photo history instead of the most recent part. This forced me to scroll back through years of my photo history— and all the happy and painful memories they bring— before getting access to her image. It was unexpected but very fitting for the deity of memory. I honour her and thank her for this gift.
