#mnemosyne

My design for Mnemosyne, daughter of Gaia and Ouranos. Due to her connection to the river of Memory, I decided to depict her with water from that river and adorned with river pearls, which represent individual memories.

In the lore I imagine for her, she can see every memory that has been turned into a pearl through the water of the river (you will see this in detail in my fic Cuckoo's Nest), and in the river itself, the memories of the dead are collected. The memories Mnemosyne wears on her jewelry are ones that touched her heart upon seeing them.

Of the female Titanes they say that Mnemosyne discoveried the uses of the power of reason, and that she gave a designation to every object about us by means of the names which we use to express whatever we would and to hold conversation one with another. And to this goddess is also attributed the power to call things to memory and to rememberance which men possess, and it is this power which gave her the name she received.

The answer to this is probably yes !

I have the plot figured out for the most part and the time away from it gave me a much needed break and some good clarity about it-- the only real issue is actually Writing It, you know?

I've been pretty busy with things like exams, uni applications, new hobbies and new projects, but I do want to find the time to write more because I do miss it sometimes.

Currently I've been dedicating most of my free time into Artfight and some tma oc related projects, but I've also been bouncing around fandoms a little. (Don't worry, I'm not at all losing interest in TMA)

I'm hoping that this time around I can stop letting the stress of writing in front of so many people get to me, because around the time I'd taken my break I'd gotten pretty stressed and worried about making some kind of masterpiece or something when I really should have just been having fun

Really I just need to reacquaint myself with what I've written and hopefully I can get back into the swing of things

I can't give a concrete time frame at all, but I haven't forgotten about it, and I'm hoping soon the inspiration and motivation will hit me again
