hey guys!! i hate to ask, but i'm in a lil spot financially. a few days ago i had my first trip to the dentist since i was a teenager (a LOT of dentists in the uk went private in the early 2000s and it only got worse during covid bc of the crazy high-demand nhs backlog of patients), and oh boy. for the most part they said i'm looking okay-ish, which was a relief. i've the money to pay for the first half of my treatments (which comes to just under £300), but the rest of my treatments over the next two appointments are a lot more hefty and are gonna amount to a total of £645

this is a total i am gonna really struggle with considering my current living situation, paygrade and work hours. i'd be super super thankful if anyone's able to give me a hand!! i'm not in the position to offer commissions right now, but i do have a ko-fi shop if you see anything you like!! otherwise, donations of any sum or any reblogs people are able to provide are super duper fucking amazing and i'm beyond thankful for. here is my paypal and my ko-fi to take things through. thank you again!!!

she should be trying harder. she was a viltrumite; they had no place for paltry play. mindy is caught on her next frivolous leap at her superior, snatched out of the air by a hand wound 'round her throat. she's clawing at him, desperate, longing for air. conquest ignores the dangling kicks of her feet, eyes squinted tight as she's brought closer for him to inspect. ❝ not good enough, child. ❞

like a scrap, she's thrown aside. soldier does it with such ease, the ferocity of this movement is almost shocking. she's thrown directly trough the nearest building, cement and glass raining down upon her sagging frame. mindy is gritting her teeth, struggling back to her feet; and conquest gives a preemptive grin. yes, that's what he wanted. that tenacity, that drive. she couldn't stop.

with a scream, she charges again. a slap to the back of her skull now, sending her face first into the ground - hard enough to shatter the earth beneath them, a splatter of her blood shooting upwards. pathetic. ❝ you expect to live up to your father, fighting like this? ❞ a heel, pinning her down, invoking the sound of crunching bone beneath the boot. ❝ give me more! ❞

“ don't, ” the word is wheezed, yet gargled and wet, cruor that congeals against her teeth and tongue and in her esophagus betwixt desperate gasps. her lungs having been winded entirely 'pon impact with the concrete. in a despondent attempt at freeing herself, animalistic in execution, mindy's arm shoots upwards and her fingers find conquest's leg grasp tight around his gastrocnemius. “ talk about my dad ! ” she squeezes. perhaps harder than she's ever before : fingers near immediately breaking the skin, her index finger and thumb burying themselves deep amongst his tendons. she feels them tense and flounder under her grip white-knuckled, shaking. expression pinched. the anger in her chest that simmers in hot pustules forces her to disregard the glass and grit 'neath her eyelids entirely. split skin and broken bones be fucking damned.

something ruptures under her crushing hold, blood spurts and sprays from conquest's leg, and mindy makes quick work of taking advantage of the newfound vulnerability : the vocal fry in her wail prominent as her free hand fumbles with debris that's driven into his kneecap in swift succession. the lapse in his balance gives the butcher the opportunity to get back to her feet -- but near immediately is she reminded of the splintered bone that dishevels her ribcage. “ you don't know shit about him, you old prick. ” it fractures further as she straightens her back : the skin of her diaphragm stretched and lumpy where the bone protrudes. saliva swills her mouth of excess blood that's spat at his boot. “ or me. ”
