I realize I never continued with my journaling through re-reading My Hero Academia. I think I had made it back to where I had left off a bunch of years ago before I realized that I had a lot of complicated thoughts about the plot, some of the character arcs, and the pacing.
I ended up catching up with the current chapter about 20 days after I first started reading but one day I do want to get all my thoughts together about this series because on one hand, it's fr near and dear to me and there's a lot to love about it and on the other hand ..... >>
Now I just have to remember to actually do this soon before it slips out of my brain again haha.

Hard of hearing Bakugou is like … my favorite fandom headcanon. It’s soooo ogoooood.
After today’s episode, a couple of friends and I on twitter were talking about Kouda and sign language .. which led to Bakugou learning sign if he needed a hearing aid … which lead to .. me thinking about him getting some signs wrong since some are really similar O v O;;;
I know it’s ASL not JSL but .. it’s what I know..ish .. / v \
Please let me know if I got anything wrong aaa … I’m faaaarrr from fluent in ASL!

Got to chapter 18 on my re-read last night! Oh man I don't even know where to start I have a thousand thoughts!!!!
I really did forget how fun the beginning of this story is. The panel drawings are so amazing too. Just reminded of how much energy all the characters and art has aaahhhhh!
I even keep interrupting my own readthrough to get up and show my S/O all the super goofy drawings. I don't think the anime ever captured the same energy for me. I remember reading it, trying to watch with S/O, and then just returning to reading eventually.
Look at these Midoriya drawings hahahahahahahaha I love it!!!!
And lastly, not @ me eyezooming to Kirishima's cameo before he even gets introduced hehehehe. Benefits of a re-read >:3c ..
I don't actually remember if that second one is supposed to be him but I'll give it to myself hehehe.
Last thing, but not last where I left off .. WOW I STILL GOT SO HYPED UP SEEING EVERYONE IN THEIR FIRST COSTUMES!!! I can't really believe the feelings I have going through this story for just a second time but it's a lot of fun. I think I'll keep having fun blogging about it too :DD
Oh gosh and when I got to the League of Villains breaking into the training arena. WHAT A HYPE TIME. I'm still really bothered by how easily they keep slipping in all these weird creep moments toward the girls but it's nice to let myself also enjoy the cool story too.
I didn't save too many panels from the League of Villains break in because I was too excited reading through it but I'll end this post with this panel that made me legit spit out my drink at my desk and laugh out loud.

I really clearly remember why I stopped reading (at least 3-4 years ago at this point I think...) and I don't feel any different about it but I've recently gone back down the Kirishima rabbit hole and it inspired me to pick it back up again.
I'm starting at the very beginning and I've already had such a blast, the panel drawings are just so amazing. I feel super inspired to draw for the first time in a long LONG time which is nice to feel.
Think it'd be fun to blog my reread on here a bit hehe :)
