Every time I thought I lost something God blessed me with something better

Im going on a date tomorrow. The first date I’ve EVER been to. I’m literally so anxious. The guys who asked me out, knows me from my gym. He came up to me and approached (to like ask for my ig) while I was filling up my water bottle and blasting my chemical romance in my headphones, so I didn’t even hear the first few words😭. And I was literally so surprised because he looked 3 years older than me, so I just answered "uhmm, I’m only 16". Cause I find age gaps weird. Turns out he was 17, so it was fine. He also said that hes been noticing around in the gym. (Weird cause I’ve never noticed him or seen him) We ended up following eachother on instagram and before leaving he said that we could workout together. I said sure but in my head I just thought 'he doesn’t mean as a first date though, or maybe he does?'. The day after we texted a bit and he asked me whether we wanted to workout together sometime. My dumbass said yes and now I have a date that is also the first date and also a fucking gym date. Who the fuck picks a gym as a first date. What the actual f was he thinking?!?!? And we also decided to do upper body, which I am fine with, it’s just that I’m scared that he’ll want to do exercise that I’ve never done before so I’ll look like a complete dumbass. And also he’s jacked and has been going to the gym for 2 years so he probably knows a lot more than me. And he probably also does warm up sets, which I don’t. Great. I’ll look even more stupid✌️😔. But whatever. I know I shouldn’t worry so much tho. Also, I don’t think that he will like me the more he finds out about me (I’m a rad fem, leftist and atheist, literally any man’s nightmare) and I also saw that he wears a cross necklace. I looked up tips for the first date and some sources said not to bring up any important or heavy topics. So that means I probably shouldn’t talk about points. Although I do want to know if he’s rather conservative, cause that would mean I wouldn’t want to date him anymore. However, bringing it up would probably ruin the vibe for the rest of date. And most people don’t like my political views. I have zero experience in dating. I feel like I can’t be myself if I don’t know the person yet. That’s why I hate getting to know new people that I know zeroooo about. I don’t even know what type of human he has. No clue what I’m supposed to talk to him about. As a bisexual, I feel like I would be much less nervous dating a girl. I wouldn’t feel like I have to act performative and perfect if that makes sense. Anyway, Luisa out 😛✌️
