Question for the cyberpunk au
What cyberware do all the X-Men have if you don’t mind me asking?
Emma Frost: Electrifying Monowire (a weapon she can use to bind people up or stun and slice them apart? Yes please.), a Cyberdeck (also naturally, being a Netrunner), Integumentary cyberware akin to Subdermal Armor but activateable (her Diamond Form, essentially. A sort of dermal plating that covers her entire body for a short period of time, granting her enhanced armor and strength while it's active, but takes a lot of bandwidth to maintain), a Deep Dive Port, and various other augmentations to facilitate her Netrunning. And, a lot of cosmetic ones as well, naturally. All top of the shelf stuff, the White Queen was the head of two megacorporations (Frost International which she led, and Hellfire Trading Co. which is a joint effort with the Inner Circle), after all. Unfortunately, most of Emma’s cyberware got fried by Shaw after she was kicked from the Inner Circle, so merc Emma is only running at roughly a third of her original capacity. She’s working with Forge to restore her systems, though, but it’s slow and painful and rather expensive. Also, the glowing blue sunglasses I always draw her with? That’s a hologram projection that appears when she’s hacking, those glasses are entirely for aesthetics.
Phoenix: A Cyberdeck (something similar to the Militech Canto Mk.6, but completely consuming her consciousness because of the Blackwall shit she’s dealing with in her brain. I suppose Maddie is also sort of like the AI voice you hear from the Canto deck!), a Deep Dove Port, and a Projectile Launch System (filled with explosives and a flamethrower for her to blast fire out of her arms, because I think that’s neat). Phoenix also has an array of good Netrunning cyberware (thanks to Forge) like a Bioconducter, etc., but she’s got a much more scrappy system since she’s a Street Kid mercenary compared to the high-end corpo setup Emma used to have
Wolverine: Think of Oda. Yeah, that’s Wolverine for the most part. He was an ex-Arasaka dog who underwent an experimental upgrade and went a bit feral afterwards. He’s long since broken off from Arasaka to pursue his vengeance against the corp, but he’s got all the experimental cyberware still in him. Namely, a Berserk (that is sort of constantly active), a Biomonitor to keep his heart afloat because of it, Adamantium (Titanium) Bones, and, of course, his iconic Mantis Blades. Also Adamantium.
Cyclops: He used to be a Maelstrom ganger so… yes. Cyberware, all of it. He has cyberware. His flashiest piece will of course be the iconic red eyes/visor he has built into his skull. Otherwise, he’s got plenty of cyberware to enhance his shooting and combat. He joined the gang because he didn’t want the weakness of his flesh body to stop him from protecting his family, and he walked out of Maelstrom borged the hell out, half-cyberpsycho, and all the more capable of holding his own in a fight than ever. No one will touch his X-Men as long as Cyclops has something to say about it.
Magik/Illyana: A Sandevistan, and just, borged the hell out everywhere else. She has hooved legs with spikes for even more manoeuvrability and agility! And a Doll Chip (with Darkchylde as a faulty personality on there), of course. And a SWORD!
Shadowcat/Kitty: Optical Camo and a Kerenzikov. She’s like a ghost, gets in and out without a sound like she can walk through walls
Storm/Ororo: Nothing. She’s fully ‘ganic. Good for her.
