âwas born with this kind of face and expression â and hey, my face is not that bad when i smile, just so you know.â he laughs on how stupid he sound right now after saying those confident words. because sanghee isnât the type to brag about something, it feels a little weird and cringe-worthy for him. âiâm glad youâre not a part of our school choir. youâll ruin them all with your voiceâ he laughs once again because he know that the cute younger girl on the line wonât get hurt by his word. because theyâre that close ( but theyâre nothing compared to her relationship with kyuseok â must be because of their age is not so different ⊠and other reason ). I donât believe in Santa, he thinks and he prefer to keep it to himself because it will turn this conversation into a serious one and he knows that she doesnât want that ( he doesnât want that either so he play along with her ) âman, i wish i could be a little younger, so i could still get a christmas gift instead of being the one who give.â he says, half serious. âho ho ho, santa sanghee is wondering if dani is on a good kid list of bad kid list this year?â he imitate Santaâs voice ( that end up to be weird because his voice is deep and not santa-like )
âOh!? Getting cocky, are you? I would say that you should smile more often, but I donât think you need more truckloads of ladies chasing after you,â she lets out a knowing chuckle at his new-found (and probably short-lived) confidence. âYah, by âruin themâ do you mean âslay them with my singingâ? Because I totally agree, itâs a good thing Iâm not a part of the choir, I might intimidate all the other students into quitting,â Dani snaps. She makes a mental note to irritate and sing to Sanghee more often. Itâs always fun to dig out a reaction from the docile male, and she thinks that maybe one day she should try to get his younger brother to familiarize with that notion, too. Hearing Sanghee wonder out loud on the other end, she responds, a little melancholic, âItâs not that fun being younger. I wish I could just grow up already...â A slight pause, before she snaps out of it. âHey, Iâll get you a gift this year! And Iâll make sure Kyuseok pays for it.â A scheming grin forms at those words, fortunately one that Sanghee wouldnât be able to sense over the phone. But the grin immediately dissipates into a fit of giggles at his Santa impersonation, âOf course Daniâs been a good kid this year, sharing her food and keeping her temper under control. Santa Sanghee better have a really awesome gift for her.â

Nari stops laughing and sighs a bit. âAh⊠sorry,â she bashfully apologizes. âMy friend said that doing aegyo is a good way to introduce yourself. But Iâm not good with aegyo, so that was a bit awful to watch.â She chuckles a little at the otherâs statement. âAhh⊠sorry for making you hate me after five seconds then. Iâd say you should blame my friend, but I kinda brought this upon myself so..â
âItâs fine, itâs fine. Iâm just joking. Or maybe youâre so great at aegyo that itâs that cringey to watch. Just, not in front of me next time,â Dani responds a little softer, tilting her head in acceptance of Nariâs apology. âLetâs just blame your friend for this. What are they teaching you? In which universe is it a good idea to do an aegyo introduction?â
        { @songdani }
With a cold water bottle pressed against her forehead in an attempt to cool down, Sunnie let out a heavy sigh, glancing over at her friend and team mate in hopes of her sharing the same annoyance that she did. âOn a scale of one to ten, with one being âthis actionâll literally cause the downfall of humanityâ, and ten being âall the gods will come down from heaven to thank youâ, how much do you think itâs a good idea to accidentally thwack that girl with the ball?â It was a question that she already knew the answer to when it came to Dani, but she was still ready to be humored  by whatever answer she received. âI thought I was loud, but she really has like, zero concept of an inside voice and itâs horrific. I think Iâll be doing us all a favor if she has to go to the infirmary for the rest of practice.â
She could feel pin pricks in her calf and there was an annoying voice in the distance making it hard for her brain to determine whether sheâs in pain or simply aggravated. She tried to straighten up, exchanging a knowing glance with the female next to her. A small smile cracked as Sunnieâs words of mutuality hit the nail on the head. âI actually reckon itâs more of a âwe will be crowned the next demigods sent to protect humanityâ. So, like a fifteen out of ten?â She wondered out loud, reaching down to knead her cramp away. âFor one, her voice is leagues more annoying than yours ever could be. At least yours sounds like baby birds chirping,â Dani let out a stifled chuckle. âWould you like to do the honors? Plus brownie points for you if she gets sent to the infirmary with no one else catching on to your delightful motives.â

    Sanghee is getting tired of this shit. Why is everybody keep on saying the same thing over and over and why do his friend keep on calling him to say something useless like that. â ⊠Yeah well, I donât know if Santa will come to your place if you keep annoy me like this. Santa donât come to an annoying kidâs house, just so you know.â he sighs deeply. â â And most importantly Christmas is still long way from today why do everyone keep on â Really? Are you going to keep on singing Christmas Carol? Really?â
These days, Dani finds herself getting a kick out of phoning Sanghee and mumbling nonsense over their tele-conversation. Itâs probably because they havenât spoken in a while. She doesnât act so immature frequently, but thereâs been anxiety at the base of her gut and she figures nowâs as good a time as any to let it out. Sheâd just finished belting out Joy To The World before bursting into laughter, âJust so you know, Santa doesnât like frumpy looking guys too, so I guess heâll be skipping out on both our houses this year. But you can be Santa. And you always bring me gifts for Christmas, so I still win.â
âNyariri wants to eat cheese!â she says in a high pitch voice before laughing at herself at such the cringe-worthy action. âBuy cheese for Nyari~!â she finally says before laughing even more at herself. GOD that was embarrassing. She should never do aegyo again.
âDoes Nyariri want to die?â Dani pitches in, cringing at the sound produced by the girl just seconds before. Eventually though, after the initial goosebumps have alleviated, she laughs along, âSorry, I feel like youâve become my number one enemy in the span of five seconds.â
Yejunâs preferred method of getting fresh air didnât usually include going to the rooftop, mostly because of the stairs paired with watching sports not really being his cup of tea. But something about looking down from the top of the building was really exciting. Was it the observer in himself, who loved to sit back and watch things pass him by? All he knew was that it was a good excuse to take the stairs up to the door. He couldnât really recall what happened next; all he knew was that his shirt had gotten caught in the door as he tried to close it behind him, and that it had ripped. The artisan looked up towards the voice that was speaking to him, and tried to remove his shirt from the door, holding himself to cover the rip. âAh⊠I ripped my shirt, and I canât go around walking like this. Itâs cold, and this is way too embarrassing.â He couldnât look her in the eyes, and he just stared at the ground. âI hate to have to ask this of you, but is there some way that you could find something for me to wear?â
Scanning the bashful figure, Dani scrutinized the commotion for a prolonged second before it sunk in. She attempted - and failed - to stifle a snicker at the embarrassed artisan, who seemed oddly interested with the floor rather than herself. âI guess that door really wanted your shirt?â She wisecracked, only to scoff out loud at her own joke. Immediately realizing the frigidity of the fall breeze, she decided it would probably be sensible to lend him her windbreaker for temporary refuge. âHere. Sorry. I only have my practice jersey with me right now, but I donât think youâd appreciate the stench of my stale sweat,â she frowned in thought, âtill a better idea hit her. âUm.. Hold on, I have spare in the locker. Iâll go get âem, and you can try to... Free yourself in the meantime.â With a grin, she made the daring trek down the stairwell toward her locker, and almost as quickly made it back. This time, equipped with a fresh jersey shirt, her name printed on the back. The apparel was handed over to the boy, but not before admonishing, âFor your info, I need this back. Okay?â
âCrap crap crap,â the scenery smears past him in a blur. His usual restless body very much surprising him by giving itâs all as the male makes another sharp turn around the block. Itâd only make sense for someone to run this fast if they were late for a class but as a matter of fact, Kyuseok had already missed out on morning class â and coincidentally every one which followed after that. A bad bad aftermath of pulling an all-nighter in attempts at finishing homework? Wrong! More like finishing his entire collection of Slam Dunk comics in one entire seating. Itâs actually kind of amusing to the second year, really. How he always finds himself running or well, doing some sort of physical work when Dani was in question here. Nevertheless, a boysâ got to do what a boysâ got to do in order to obtain what he wants. Even if that means using some kind of, ugh, âeffortâ.
âSheâs going to sever my head. Sheâs not going to sever my head. Sheâs going to sevâ Oh, God.â Running the entire way from the apartment building until the designated arcade near the schools campus gave him an ample amount of time to contemplate what the female was going to end up doing with him. A solid minute and half later, they boy manages to catch a glimpse of the familiar figure in the near distance, the sight instantaneously unleashing pearly white teeth in the form of a grin. His full frontal sprint which dwindled down into a light jog and now into a slow walk, he mentally prepares himself of whatâs to come though doesnât even think about breaking that smile of his for a split-second.Â
âOh, so you decided to take up my offer after all?â He comes to a stop in front of her. hands on his knees as he crouches down slightly to get a slight breather without making it too obvious. âBut, whatever happened to âIâm busy so go get someone else to bother?â Kyuseok reenacts the scene, voice toned up a couple of notches so heâd nail the imitation rather perfectly.
Dani is weighing out her options - a close call between chopping off his finger or busting his head in - before the lanky figure of the person she was expecting saunters in from the corner of her eye. She feels her heart leap but brushes the feeling away, as she turns to deliver a pointed glare, âPick your punishment. A four-fingered hand or a deflated head?â Squinting as the boy slows to a halt in front of her, his slight panting not going unnoticed, she notes matter-of-factly,âI donât know if youâve realized but your running pace is barely as fast as my speed-walk. We should probably go exercising the next time round.â
An uninvited smirk finds its way onto her lips, hearing him imitate (poorly) the phrase she had said all but too many times. She rolls her eyes, and the thought crosses that she would rather swear on her life than admit to Kyuseok that she found his little impersonations endearing. âWell, I figured since I had nothing better to do... But if youâre going to be a dinky about it Iâm just going to leave. Itâs not like I donât have other friends, unlike you.â To counter his teasing, Dani playfully pushes on his forehead with her index finger. She turns and heads for the arcade entrance, âAre we going in or are you just going to stand here and rub it in my face?â
@yejuuuns
She sat there for a while longer, legs dangling over the edge. Beneath her, a couple of students were utilizing the field for their own workout. A chilly draft swept over the compound, messing up her hair in concurrence, and she decided she should head home before the evening frigidity settled in. She hopped onto her feet, grabbing the duffel bag full of sweat-stained jerseys in the aftermath of todayâs practice. Looking down, Dani felt a sense of empowerment and tranquility from this height and distance, like she retained the world in the palm of her hand. With a slight grin, sheâs about to head back home, but a soft grunt and a struggle echoed nearby so she froze. Naturally. A thought passed about whether it would be worth it to check the source out; after all, someone could be in danger. The struggle continued, and Dani didnât think twice as her legs carried her off towards the sound, finding herself in front of... A stranger - crisply dressed and radiant-haired, seemingly fighting a battle with his apparel. âUh.. A-are you okay?â

@dokyuseok
The morning was a blur and to be honest, Dani cannot remember how she ended up at the crossing in front of the school, how she made her way to the nearby arcade, nor why she agreed to meet a certain slack-limb male at the arcade after school. Sheâs supposed to be looking over notes for class but she was snatched by the siren call of the procrastination gods - she thinks - which was an opportunity she simply cannot pass up. And the chance to beat the high score someone put on the Space Annihilator last week was barely one she could let slip. Besides, sheâd spent such an extensive portion of the summer break at the library or on the court - a day off finally wouldnât hurt? âWhere the hell is he?â she croaks, impatience seething through gritted teeth. She exhales and sits back down on the bench by the entrance, legs swinging and backpack heavy with dues. Heâd better get here before her time bomb of patience ran out.
hellooo
okay firstly i am absolute shite at handling an account, but i want to get back on track of being a good, active roleplayer. i donât want to be the abominable fc hogger or [insert other names for fc hogger], i realized it was highly unfair for interested roleplayers who perhaps wanted this face. also the admins, they are wonderful and i want to give mokwon my dedication a hundred and fifty percent, especially since iâm off my internship (fina-fucking-ly).
for those who iâve never had the pleasure of meeting, iâm ariel, from the GMT +8 timezone (singapore, if any of you are a fellow citizen). my muse is dani, an angsty teenager whoâs got a lot riding on her shoulders. she normally hates people but we can reason around it if you wanna plot. ;-) or not. well, relationship fundamentals can be discussed. or we could just chill on k!k, you can find me @ supariel.
iâm going to follow you lovely people and try to reply starters once i find my way around tumblrâs weird makeover (ïżŁâœïżŁ)ă
EDIT: weird people are chatting me up on k!k bye gotta blast please let me know who you are if you do add me on there
âYah, canât you just stop with the rejection already? I think youâve left my heart with multiple scars, already.â He clutches his chest, feigning an exaggerated puff of air for a brief moment before returning a smile back at her. âThat inexplicable reason is actually not that all complicatedâ that abnormally large head of yours and ugh, that knock off Anna Sui perfume isnât quite hard to miss. Anyone can notice, or whiff you from a mile away.â Suppressing a laugh, the male gives himself a mental pat on the back, knowing that she was over the moon to have him accompany her though her expression didnât quite give that away. âS-Slave..?. Hey, that actually sounds kind of kinky, you know.â Pulling a face of slight disgust he inches just a slight bit closer towards the female. âI had no idea you were thatâŠ. That kind of girl.â
âDonât be such an oversensitive nerd. Those superficial scars will go away in no time, trust me,â she recites with a slight roll of her eyes at the boyâs melodrama. Still, a small quirk finds its way to the corners of her lips, and it doesnât last for long. âYah! Did you come to assist me or insult me? Itâs all because of you and your swamp stench that I have to mask myself with perfume,â she bites back distemper and huffs out in annoyance, grabbing her backpack, seeing that she was nearing her destination. âYes, I am that kind of girl,â Dani feigns nonchalance when Kyuseok shifts himself closer. In a fluster, she only breaks the contact when she rises back on her Nike trainers. âBye, slave. You can stay here, Iâm getting off the bus.â
Please punch me in the gut and stage an intervention if that ever happens. I get where youâre coming from, but I am sorta bummed. I wouldâve liked seeing the beach. By the time I got to my hotel every night it was dark and I was way too exhausted to even think about it. Ya, we really should, thatâd be a blast. You really do manage to push yourself into stuff like that without invitation, itâs sort of impressive. Like the ultimate gatecrasher or something. Use your talent for good.
No way, I would fully encourage your still-to-be-discovered desire to do a questionable reality show. Hey, no pain no gain, eh? Just keep working hard, weâll get our time to lounge around at as many beaches as we want. How does a graduation trip sound? Iâm raring to challenge you to a game of beach volleyball, just saying. I know, itâs a very under-appreciated talent of mine! People arenât really keen on others messing with their plans, they donât understand that gatecrashing is for the greater good.
âIf Iâm Do Shrek, what would that make you then? Song Fiona, huh?â he snorts, finding her reaction amusing. âAnd just like you, Iâm rather persistent too..â with a mere shake of his head, he stares at the female before him, his current stance shifting to a more comfortable one. âStalking you? Damn, you caught on real quick.â his frame still pressed against the seat in front, an elbow props itself against the synthetic leather fabric before speaking once again. âBut in all seriousness, you said you were going shopping today, no? And I, Do Kyuseok am more than willing to offer my presence. I know, I know, itâs an honor but you can thank me later.â
âYes, Iâm Song Fiona but my Shrek certainly, definitely isnât you,â she coos, shaking her head playfully along with her words, smile heavy on her lips. âCome on, this isnât the first year of our friendship, you know you're never able to hide anything from me. Just like how Iâm never able to hide from you, for some inexplicable reason.â She almost reaches out to pinch the amusement off his expression but hesitates, because people might misunderstand. Instead, Dani sends him a side glance, âOh wow, thatâs perfect then! I was worried but now I have someone to carry all the shopping bags for me. Thanks in advance, slave.â

â table manners, teddy & dani
Hands jammed into the pockets of her dress, Dani tried to walk with purpose after her fatherâs larger figure â but her back has been hurting and sheâs hunched over again, staring at the dusty first-rate Italian carpeting. On their way to the reserved table for four, her father turned around and grit his teeth. A soft sigh and narrowed eyes. Dani stared back, albeit not a defiant one. Itâs a silent sort of warning: Stand up straighter, Dani. Walk a little faster, Dani. Jin wouldnât embarrass me like that, Dani. Itâs a shame, she knew, that her brother wasnât able to make it tonight. Itâs a shame, she knew, that her father would have to present a soured investment of a child to a long-time rival that he was eager to one-up. She parted her lips slightly to tell him that for Godâs sake, she didnât want to be here either, didnât want to be forced to stare at the face of someone she hated while shoving caviar down her throat.
The waiter sits them down at a private table with a curdled expression, corners of his mouth down-turned in an open show of the thousand evenings and afternoons he has whittled away there, serving snobby people like Daniâs father. From the moment she placed herself at the table, itâs all a routine practice. A scripted play. Dani and her brother had been training years for this kind of situation. But acting had never been her forte and that much was obvious from the way her necklace suddenly felt heavy around her neck, the way her smile didnât flow but sputtered. It gets increasingly difficult to tell the difference between candid and disciplined.Â
Before long her father was busy again, expression already shifted to one of pure professionalismâ their dinner guests had arrived. He stood up, so Dani rooted herself by his side and offered a bow to the elegantly dressed newcomers. âMr. Yoon,â she said, all practiced smiles and prettily squinted eyes. And it grew faint, distant, and a little too far as her gaze landed on the younger male who had just come in after the elder. âTeddy,â she adds with wilted ambition. âItâs good to see you.â
âShrek? Wah, I love it when you call me that, y'know?â the sound of his voice filled with an air of satisfaction, eyes remain locked on the back of the girls head as he waits in anticipation for them to look at him. âWell, you did try butââ hovering slightly off his seat, the broad-shouldered figure of the male leans forward as a hand is brought out to rap lightly against a head of warm chocolate tint. âSeems like youâll have to try a whole lot harder if you want to get rid off me that quick.â an amused smirk was put into play as their eyes then finally meet.
âI had no idea you liked being a big green ogre.â She says with a fleeting laugh, shaking her head in unpleasant disapproval. âMaybe you should consider changing your name, Do Shrek has a nice ring to it.â There is a tap on her crown of chestnut tresses, and the tiny, erratic pounding of the little organ held in her chest cavity is too distinct to ignore. It worsens when she instinctively turns to meet the homespun gaze and playful smirk of a boy she knows all too well. âYou know Iâm not one to give up that easily,â she states, a little raise of her brows to punctuate. âWhat are you on this bus for, anyway? Stalking me?â
