I’m trying to save up for when we begin renting some time this summer but I work minimum wage and have bills to pay so I haven’t been able to save as much as they have and I’m still struggling even to pay bills sometimes. I grew up in an abusive household and have a variety of mental illnesses as well as endometreosis & knees that barely work that I have both a cane & braces for them but still am unable to work sometimes. My little brother is being basically starved by my mother. He is 6’1 and 120 pounds. He is blind and my mother leaves him home alone for hours with no accessible food or meals for him. She sends him to school with only crackers. When he’s home alone, he’s given some Cheerios and nothing else for over eight hours. He is eating less than 500 calories a day. He is also being deeply manipulated by my mom to see her as a victim and she constantly gaslights him about the things he says. Text proof at the end of the post.

He has told me multiple times he is starving on a daily basis. Last night I confirmed everything with him verbally and I saw the house myself when I was in California. There is no food. There is no food that is even bought for him. He constantly asks my mom for food and she screams at him he’s unhealthy and going to get fat if he eats a sandwich or bacon or pancakes.

Anyways. I am in a fucked place financially but I don’t care. I love my brother more than anything in this life. I will give him every cent I have to have groceries or food sent to his house. But I don’t have much. So if you can please please spare anything, I want to make sure he’s okay. I’ve already contacted CPS but this will be the third time my mother has been reported and it could take up to 4-5 weeks. He is getting sick often and he is being denied food constantly under a guise of health.
