Anyone who takes the time to be kind is beautiful.

Social media is painful on days like today. Every post is filled with pictures like "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!" and reading in between the lines all I see is "sorry yours is dead, glad mine isn't." I wish my depression would stop ruining my life and distorting any and all happiness I feel for myself or others. I also wish my friends would have contacted me to save me for once, but I'll stop dreaming. They're just being happy (you know, with their still very much alive* dads), that's no reason for me to be more sad. I spent the whole weekend with my sisters though, which was really nice. And I called my angel of a mom and brother. Despite all of the stubborn and lingering heavy grief of losing my dad, I'll never stop being thankful for my beautiful family. Please everybody go hug who you love because I promise you that there is someone in the world wishing desperately that they could do just that. I'm one of those people, so if you could just please do it for me. --Kath
