𝙇𝘼 𝙁𝙇𝙀𝙐𝙍

“you’re going to lose all your time if you don’t back up,” lisa snaps through painted lips, which are pulled up into a twisted smile that’s too sweet to be genuine, too forced to be real. with those words she scoots away physically, creating as much distance between them as she can muster in the small space, barring taeeun from entering her space again. she swears if taeeun dares, lisa is going to shove the girl out of the booth before she walks out of the cafe, leaving behind a half finished affogato and perhaps all hopes of having the extra men she needs for the drop later. she can find other men, especially on THIS island, but patience—that can be damn near impossible to find.

“yes, that’s it,” she responds to the question, picking up her drink as she enjoys the personal bubble she’s recreated, eyes closing for the moment to truly enjoy the mixture of flavors and warm temperature. while she’s perfectly capable of sending a quick text or an email or anything of the like, she prefers business plans and meetings face to face if she can, and she’ll always ask first before using other people’s things, otherwise it can be used for collateral or blackmail later; she hate owing anyone anything. she expects taeeun to leave now, taking both her drinks to go, but it seems such luck are not in her cards, as taeeun insists on photographing, again. with the tiniest of chuckles, she places her drink down again on its saucer, propping her elbows on the table and chin atop intertwined fingers. “if you’re so keen on it, i suppose i can make time. the promenade looks amazing this time of day.”

          “ someone’s feisty today. should i wait til you finish drinking more of your coffee, hun? ” taeeun laughs, none too bothered by the veiled threat. to be fair, she’s absolutely certain that lisa couldn’t do anything to her without disrupting the agreement between their families but, above that, no one would willingly create conflict over something so small, right? learning lisa’s limits and pushing them helps prove to taeeun that she’s a good partner, because she’s more than aware she can’t work with someone whose patience wears too thinly. it wouldn’t bode well for either side. besides, they have that whole bad cop, good cop vibe going if they ever had to deal with an unsavory situation, not that it’d reach all the way up to them but still. it’s another added bonus if you were to ask her.

there are a variety of different things that hyerin says to describe herself in the utmost positive light: smart, talented, and resourceful are just a few, all confident enough simply to fuel her narcissism. alas, there are a few things that are out of her scope of practice – either that, or she simply chooses not to get her hands dirty; debatable enough in the grand scheme of things – one of them being cosmetic car damage. more specifically, her cosmetic car damage. but then again, song hyerin is ingenious enough to find the person who can do all that and then some, and her first choice simply happens to be someone who’s not only good at their job, but fast at it. 

just like her, but that wasn’t the only reason why. 

rolling down the window when she pulls into the shop, the ‘regalia garage’ sign flits past her peripheral vision just as she shoots a grin at her favorite employee. she always thought pixie was too pretty to frequent this place, too fragile-looking, too baby-faced, too young. and so imagine her surprise when the girl who was sitting with her in the lobby at their first meeting, wasn’t there to get her own shiny vehicle fixed, but rather to fix hers. ever since then, pixie had been her go-to-gal for everything mechanically related – mechanic magic, as she’d liked to call it. her alias was pixie, was it not? 

          it’s always the kids with cars they don’t know how to handle that bring in the most work but ultimately make her the saddest. such horrible treatment shouldn’t be allowed, really. they don’t even shift properly and she can tell whenever she takes a look. for some who walk into the shop, she doesn’t even have to look and she knows. it comes with experience, truthfully, and she has more than people would think   —   she’s been running around one of her grandpa’s garages since she could. that vine of a kid running by with a knife and his mother yelling no as she chases him? might as well have been running by with a wrench ! 

          on the day hyerin first came into regalia, taeeun remembers having to fill out more paperwork just as she had to this morning and she makes a note to blame ( all in jest, of course ) hyerin for it   —   she must’ve cursed her with a paper spell or something. makes sense, right? tapping her pen against the clipboard in her hand, she’s quick to shove it into jae’s arms once he’s close enough to her, about to ask which dock to put hyerin’s car in when taeeun answers before he can finish. “ set it up in mine ” because there’s no way in hell she’d let any of the other goofballs take over anyway.

Keep in mind that you can ask questions that might be difficult for a character! Or even ask questions that you nor your muse would normally ask. Remember, they have to answer them! It’s just up to you to decide whether it affects them in canon-verse (none of the answers are public knowledge unless you want them to be).

there’s something inexplicably calming about the perfect affogato in a quaint cafe far away from either of her businesses. even though both stay at the back of her mind at all times, it’s as if the cafe doors provide a barrier for her to escape, even if just for a bit. of course, a cafe door really isn’t a barrier for anything, and as much as she wishes for it to be true, it can’t hold back reality, let alone her overly peppy partner making her way into her personal space, completely popping that bubble, leaving its remains out on the cafe table, splayed out for all to see. it takes all of her energy not to press her palm into the girl’s face and shove it away. she swears if her father hadn’t worked out a deal with taeeun’s grandfather, she’d have been dead.

“must you talk so much?” lisa hisses, words low and careful as she tries to cool her temper, tips of her nails forming red crescents in her fleshy palms as she curls her hand into a tight fist. closed eyes slowly open, head barely turning so she can glance at the girl next to her and not across from her. “i’ve already ordered,” she addresses that question first since it seems to be the most pressing. she breathes, picking her phone up off of the table and unlocking, though she makes no move to hand it over as she would usually do on an almost daily basis. as annoying as taeeun can be, she makes lisa look damn good in her social media posts (not that it’s that hard in the first place). “i’ve actually got a package coming in later. staff’s out on another project, so i’m going to need to borrow some of your staff.” she browses with disinterest through her feed, raising her gaze only to make sure they’re on the same page. she can’t miss this shipment of new machinery coming in. “can we make it happen?”

          lisa’s choice of drink suits her, that was taeeun’s initial thought the first time they had a meeting like this. strong with a hint of sweet. cold and yet just warm enough. maybe not so warm but   —   she does think the opposing characteristics of the drink and how they come out into a perfect blend matches the socialite well. if anything, it makes her think that her choice of an iced honey americano is basic, simplistic. to her, it’s more functional than anything else and maybe it’s because that’s all she’s known it as from the first time she drank pure black when pulling an all-night in the garage as a teen.

22 ( turning 23 in oct. ), she’s still got that baby face so often underestimated upon initial meeting w/ good reason bc she is a sweetheart 

works in regalia garage, which can do all the works from fixing a car to making it look all spic and span, even with that fresh new car smell if that’s what ur into

the backroom and basement of the garage operates as a weapons gallery of sorts. if u got the codeword, u can get the goods !! ( nothing dirty intended here, i promise ) guns, knives, grenades, special types of poison, u ask for it? they have it or will make a way to get it for u

not too long ago, they started working with lisa’s family and so the weaponry game rn is 🔥🔥 

going back to how she’s underestimated, trust me girl’s got connections and her own methods if u try crossing her or her grandfather so look out 

that said, her grandfather is one of the go-to men for weapon upgrades if ur particularly attached to one or need repairs from a master artist like we’re talking shifu levels okay ( don’t judge me for the reference pls ) 

both her and her grandfather are unaffiliated, choosing to stay as neutral as possible but they definitely don’t condone a few things / behaviors in their garage
