i have long embraced my perceived “weirdness”, my singularity, but lately i’ve found myself lamenting my lack of wanting what most people want, wishing i could’ve been more “normal”. though i adhere to caetano veloso’s “seen from up close, no one is normal”, it was my beloved elliott smith who came and lovingly knocked me back to my senses: "The only people who really seem weird to me are people who think they’re normal.
