Sex is the beginning and the end of everything. Without sex, the earth would be barren. Sex should be appreciated, not feared or viewed as controversial. It’s beautiful. It’s the embodiment of pleasure and indulgence. So why not incorporate it into your magickal practice?

There are many different ways to practice sex magick. Some witches chant incantations for what they want, others just visualize what they want to bring about, and some engage in worship; all the while having sex or performing sexual acts at the same time.

Using your body as a conduit for magick is a basic concept, however less Witches use it in this way. I guess it’s because a lot of people view sex as dirty and unlean, which is a very unhealthy view on it.

Many different Witches have different ways of performing sex magick. Some use incantations, others visualize what they want to bring about, and others use the energy raised by an orgasm for a different magickal working.

Love and sex magick can go hand in hand. If you wish to become closer to your partner, and your partner consents, then maybe give sex magick a try. The energy produced comes from within the person. This could definitely be a bonding experience and it’s very unique. I mean think about how your lover would go tell all their friends about how you worked that hot steamy magick on them. Take that as you will😉

With that said, the energy raised can be used for different things. I’ve seen some witches use it for hexes and curses, though I wouldn’t recommend that if you don’t have the necessary protections. You don’t want to accidentally curse yourself because you chose to raise energy from a sexual act, since that energy is from you. Almost your essence, if you will. So it would definitely be a good idea to use the proper protections (I mean, without protection this might cause you to get pregnant with a demon baby, or just a normal baby if you and your partner are doing it. Just use protection, in both ways. Unless you want that demon baby. Then go for it😈).

There’s also spirit sex or astral sex. This is having sex with a partner in the astral. It can be a bit hard if you don’t much astral experience, so before trying to do this, work on your ability to project. Once your good at projection, you’re ready to try it out.

There’s sex with Spirits but that can either be an extremely fulfilling and wonderful experience or it can be terrifying and scary. If you choose to experiment with that, then be sure you are protected magickally. Never under any circumstance think that you are entitled to have sex with a Spirit. If they are trying to persuade you into doing something, they are abusing their power. Banish them immediately. Your safety is more important than what the Spirit is trying to get from you. Stay safe.

Sex magick is not an excuse for someone to use in order to just have sex with you. You aren’t obligated to perform any sexual act, magickal or otherwise, in the name of witchcraft. And if anyone tries this excuse, get away from them. You don’t deserve to be used like that. Consent in sex magick must be given or it will damage the flow of energy, however I shouldn’t have to say that because consent should always be given. Period. It doesn’t matter under what context. Consent is 100% required in ANY sexual activity. Keep that in mind.

In the end, it’s all using orgasmic ecstasy to raise energy and sending it off at the climax as a very potent form of magickal practice.

But for me personally, I wasn’t raised to think of sex as connected to love or something special. Virginity wasn’t a construct in my family and since you have to go back several generations to find someone in my family who was religious, sex didn’t have any spiritual significance to me.
