You grew up in a very small and rural town full of old people.Well, the town wasn’t small in size, it was actually very large with its big farms and lakes and what not, but there wasn’t many people around and houses tended to be far away from each other. Both of your parents were farmers, honest and hardworking, but so was most of the townsfolk. You were never in the same tone, always wanting to go somewhere big like Manhattan. The only other kids that you could hang out, because of the distance, were two other girls: Amber and Audrey.Â
Of course you made male friends at school but they lived too far away to hang out so you were mostly stuck with those two. Not that you disliked it, you three were always going on adventures and having fun. You really loved them, and they loved you.Â
Until you guys hit 14. You were becoming taller and other needs were starting to appear. You don’t remember when but you started to feel funny around Amber. Your chest would feel heavy and you felt very judged by her expressions or what she said. Like her opinion mattered a lot. So as the alpha guy you were, you started to avoid her. It wasn’t uncommon for you guys to hang out without one of the other girls, not always were everyone avaiable and you always felt comfortable with only Amber or Audrey, but now you decided to see Amber only when Audrey was also around. And those nights that Amber, your crush you wanted to admit it or not, wasn’t around you’d keep deepining you relationship with Audrey. You guys were teenagers, so yeah, you explored your sexuality together, but in a very naive way. More than once one stayed to sleep at the other’s house, and you’d spit at each other in a playful way, tickle each other and etc. But you never really felt for Audrey what you felt for Amber, and that was more than ok. You could keep crushing on Amber and fooling around with Audrey, at least that’s what you thought on your early teenager years.
One year had passed and you decided that enough was enough. Audrey was your best friend and you trusted each other completely. She even had told you that she was attracted also to girls. And you felt that Amber may have felt excluded, so you decided to confess. And fortunately, Amber felt the same way! So of course, you stopped fooling around with Audrey and she totally understood. Still, you always felt there was some sort of tension between them
One day Audrey came to you alone and said she needed to talk to yo. Alone. Worried, you asked het to meet you at your house. Later on when she swang by you asked her what’s up and she broke down saying that she was not attracted to guys anymore, like, at all, and that her parents were furious at her. and didn’t want her to go home. Well, fuck, that’s shitty. You knew your fathers would also no take her in, and honestly, nobody on the town. Nevertheless, she was your best friend, the sister you never had, and quite honestly, the nail of your finger, and there was no way you could leave her hanging. So you called Amber, you girlfriend, and suggested to go away, out of nowhere. Go to Manhattan. You, Amber, and Audrey.
One year has passed since that decision. When Audrey told Amber the truth – Because Amber herself was quite conservative and both you and Audrey felt she may have not accepted her – she embraced her and called her a fool. You three managed to rent out a flat and had the luck to score some very good jobs for people without any diploma or decent education. Life’s on the city was awesome, just as you thought. The city never rested, and so you found more friends, more opportunities, and you and Amber really explored each other a lot. In addition, while Audrey lived with you, she always supported you people as a couple. She even found herself a girlfriend. Therefore, everybody was happy.
At the end of the year, you decided to throw a party. You invited everyone you knew, and you had a blast. Something changed that night though. Amber drank too much. Audrey was talking with some people when she looked at Amber, and both smiled back at each other. Audrey did it so in a friendly way, of course, but something clicked for Amber that ended up sending other message
It really took Audrey off guard, and she could not take that though off her head. Days passed, but something was different between them. That tension, that small competitiveness between the two women for you started to become heavier, more charged, more… erotic. You never even noticed it, of course. Having too much of a good time, every day was a good day so there were no reasons to worry about stuff.
Until one day you had to take a trip for work. Audrey was afraid, very afraid. She didn’t want you to leave, fearing something could happen.  She tried to talk you off, invent some excuses, but it didn’t work. You had a very good job; you couldn’t just not go to that trip. So you left.
But Audrey was determined. She decided to talk to Amber and clear that situation up. The argument started to become more heated, more… passionate. For some reason Amber was much more prone to let it happen than Audrey.
Audrey was feeling it too. She knew she would not be able to live with that if it happened. But Amber seemed so… Insistent. And very close to each other,Â
Amber said something that made all the worries Audrey had go away. ‘’I like women, too’’.
So when you got back you were surprised to find the flat empty, without the two girls of your life and only a letter.
You cried while reading that letter.
You were so disgusting that you had made both of them lesbians.
