These scars on my face getting hard to explain And these bruises getting hard to hide I’ve weathered the storm of you sitting in beltway traffic, that bitch of a boss holding her title over you And I’ve been struck by the overwhelming amount of things you have to do.

But I got shit going on too and this seemingly endless storm of your frustrations, shortcomings and burdens bearing down on me making your son weak

Too weak to deal with school, Deal with work, too weak to deal with being lonely

You should be raising us up instead of beating us down We are your children We are your flesh.
