i totally get and respect that. i am not even sure if i’ll manage to reply to peter tonight tbh. my dog is here for the week so i gotta walk him and finish this other assignment, so we’ll see how it goes. <3 13 hours sounds HEAVENLY btw.

-looks at him a little flatly- So…y’didn’t do it yet, s’what you’re saying? C’mon, mate, ‘veseen you use a good bit of charm to work a good prank in our heigh day, know y’can do it here too. Or, y’know, do it my way ‘nd just bust a few heads till someone talks. -shrugs-

-smiles sheepishly- Well, if you want to put it that way I guess not exactly. I could only charm the ones who knew I was friends with you, so I don’t know what you’re getting on about. -actually laughs- C’mon Padfoot. Can you really see me... um, busting a few heads?

Well, it’s really not, Pete. Just askin’ if you’ve gotten the information Moody assigned t’you for the last mission. -yeah let’s go with he takes a swig of a drink after he talks because it’s his night off and he’s with his pal and he’s relaxin, also he said all that pretty light-heartedly just to clarify-

It’s just... You see, we both know I’m not the greatest at getting information. -sheepishly smiles- I told Moody that he should have asked one of you to get it but you seemed to insist I was able t-to. I think I just about pissed my pants last time I tried.

-her face turns even more downcast as he speaks, her chest aching while she takes on his pain as her own, nodding just barely at his final remark with pursed lips, as though trying to force herself to believe it- Well, I hate that you’re going through the same feelings, but I am glad not to have to face all this alone. I’m sure he will be… -sighs deeply, pressing her head into his shoulder for comfort- I’m just ready for this all to be over.

-nod- Me too. It sounds horrible, but I suppose we’ll be lucky if we all make it out alive. You know I’ll do everything in my power to make sure Frank comes home alive, right? -looks at her- And on that note, can I get you another drink? It looks like we’re both about done and I think I need another. 

-nods as he’s talking, squeezing her eyes closed and trying her best to shove all of the horrific images out of her mind that plague her constantly, listening as intently as she’s able given how distraught she feels, and wipes her face again after he does, sniffling and leaning her head over to rest on his chest/shoulder- Thank you, Fab. I…I’m so grateful that we’re all still together. I just…wish he were here, too. Wish I knew when it was going to end. -looks at his hand (maybe it’s on the counter?) and reaches out to rub it sentimentally- I’m sorry, I know these are all your same fears, too. I don’t mean to burden you with this.

-Gives a ~dark chuckle/huff- Well, we’re all in this together, right. After Pete was born, I begged Moody to put me on desk duty because I was terrified at what might happen, but I realized that it’s just never going to change. I’m always terrified that every time I see my brother it’ll be the last time... But that’s why we became aurors and why we side with Albus. -puts his arm around her shoulder and gives it a squeeze- I’m sure he’ll be home soon.
