im listening to alex horne's off menu episode and . i knew then man is insane but just. holy shit. i didn't realize just how deep it goes. the episode intro had ed and james saying they knew this was gonna be dogshit. alex spends several minutes talking about his hot tub, then when asked about a dream menu, says that whenever he eats out, he just has what someone else is having, so his dream menu would be just whatever they're having. asked ed if he'd ever had buttered bread. talked about "take a shit. first to shit wins" being a good task, and a few minutes after that about how there should be a "come first" task. makes his kids honey and raisin sandwiches (layer of honey, layer of raisins). asked if he could have some extra gluten sprinkled on top of his bread. jesus christ

when i was playing what remains of edith finch i got the fish cutting part and as i was doing it it went to a black screen but the sound was still there so i could cut fish in the dark just via the sounds of the blades and as i was doing it i was like wow what a beautiful and poignant representation of the darkness of depression and the monotony of work and i sat there cutting fish in the dark for about 15 straight minutes. anyway my game was bugged

I will never get over how much Derry Girls managed to give in so few episodes. 3 seasons of 6 22-minute episodes each. and one 45-minute episode after it all to provide closure. but the characters are so complex, and the setting is so rich, and the show is hilarious, yet it gets you crying at just the right times. that show does so much in so little time and while part of me wants more seasons, I am also in awe of how well they delivered and how perfect they made the few episodes they had.

i need feminism because when jesus does a magic trick it’s a goddamn miracle but when a woman does a magic trick she gets burned at the stake

i mean they did also kill jesus. that was a pretty significant thing that happened. like i understand where you’re coming from here but they very much did kill jesus.
