Darling in the Franxx - Tribute Painting

This is a Darling in the Franxx Tribute Painting. The Character of Zero Two mean a lot to me, so i definitely wanted to put my heart into it. The composition depicts imagery of important memories and moments that hiro/viewer has been through with Zero Two, in the form of mirror pieces (a symbolic thing for zero two in the show), shattering away revealing as well as zero two’s outfit, dissipating into the air turning into the two headed birds that they story references. the clothing and mirrors breaking away from zero two, revealing her true/natural/bare form, is the essence of the piece and is supposed to signify the importance of the zero two, wild, loving, relieved, pained and joyous holding out her arms to her darling her true self underneath all of the layers covering her up. Streliztia in the background is a compositional element to add dynamic perspective as well as the object that she pilots with her darling, and the symbolism of their unification
