Plot Bunnies: Mathilde Underwood

“I have proven myself to be just as capable as any other Scout here.”

At the defiant upturn of Mathilde’s chin, Commander Erwin raised an eyebrow.

“You have indeed.”

When a baron’s daughter had gone missing after the breaking of Wall Maria and the rearrangement of the people of the Walls- yes, there had been some panic.

They searched high and low for pretty girls with long blonde hair, in signs of distress. They never thought to check the cadet barracks of any of the military camps, looking for girls with hastily shorn hair and a determined look in their eyes.

Eventually, the search wore down and everyone lost interest in a missing baron’s girl; the world had bigger problems to think of, after all.

But Mathilde worked and persevered, clawing up the ranks. When she had her choice of which military branch to join, she chose Scouting Regiment. She figured if she was going to die someday, she may as well die knowing what was out there.

But as her relationships- camaraderie, bitter disputes, and perhaps romantic inclinations- grew, so did her hair.

Plot Bunnies: Antonina Moroz

Antonina remembers the day that the Titans decimated her village for more reasons than one. She carries a scar from that day- but not for the reason one would think. She tries not to think about it but with a physical reminder running up her side, it’s hard to forget.

While Antonina’s family survived the attack, the loss of her village and the scourge on humanity fueled her nonetheless. She joined the military and to her family’s utter horror, she joined the scouting regiment. Antonina was determined to take the fight to the Titans and hoped to help regain Wall Maria’s land.
