MissPrettyPerfect Unique Leather Handbags

My name is La Toya and I have had a passion for fashion every since I was a little girl. My mother Courtrina, taught me to sew at the tender age of 5. Although I never considered a career in Fashion Design, I was led to it. After a year of studying Nursing, I was convinced that Nurses were very dedicated people, but not the career for me. I am a two-time graduate of Fashion Design Programs. In 1999, I received a B.S. in Fashion Design and Merchandising from N.C. A&T State University. And in 2002, I received my A.A.S in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City. My reason for obtaining both degrees was because I felt one was not enough. I also wanted to experience living in "The Big City" for once in my life. What better time than at that time? I packed my bags and moved to New York to study the Design aspect of Fashion Design. It was an interesting first two weeks in "The City" because it wasn't two weeks before 9/11 took place just blocks away from where classes were being held that morning. Strength was a determinant of why I stayed. After graduating from Parsons that summer of 2002, I worked as a sewer for a Private Label Handbag Designer in Union Square. I stayed with the company for 5 years. Ellen's designs (my sewing) was sold in department stores such as Henri Bendel, Bloomingdals and Fred Segal. I learned handbag construction, patternmaking and problem solving. After relocating back to North Carolina, I began my own line of handbags. The MissPrettyPerfect brand was born in 2007. The MissPrettyPerfect line of handbags are made of upholstery fabric patchwork and leather combination. MissPrettyPerfect is a brand that will broaden with time. To come in the future will be a line of Women's wear and Girl's clothing.
