#Fairy Tale: A True Story#Does anyone else remember this film?#It was so lovely!#It was basically a loose ‘what if?’ retelling of the Cottingly Fairies event#These girls took pictures of themselves with ‘fairies’#They were only playing but people believed the fairies to be real#In real life the fairies in the photographs were just drawings#But the film creates a ‘what if’ scenario where the fairies are real#It explores themes of belief and the power belief has over people#It even asks why belief is so important to people and whether it matters or not if what they believe in is real#It’s such an underrated fantasy!
