Let me tell you how great Lottie is. 1. She has EVERYTHING. This girl can literally have anything she wants and instead of hanging out with girls of her social class she’s friends with a poor girl. 2. Not only is she below her social class but she is African American which back in the twenties was COMPLETELY frowned upon. Lottie is risking social status to be friends with Tia. 3. When Tia and Naveen end up together in the end, Lottie doesn’t throw a fit or act upset, she is genuinely happy that Tiana has found true love even though that’s all Lottie has ever wanted her whole life. Something that her daddy can’t buy for her. 4. She’s true to herself and doesn’t let others judge her just because of how much money she has and she has a wonderful friend like Tiana that loves her for that. Lottie is wonderful and is highly underrated.
Also I’m positive that Lottie has offered a million times to pay for Tiana’s dream because she wanted to help but eventually stopped when Tiana made it clear she wants to achieve her goal by herself.

I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. Ok I’m reblogging this again bc when I went to see green day, before they properly started playing they made us make a pledge, at the gig there is to be ‘No racism, no sexism, no homophobia, no donald trump’
Punk has been political long before Green Day existed. The political history of the Punk scene(s) cannot be divorced from the music scene(s) that arose out of them. It is not just about music. It is not just about fashion. The stylistic choices made have meaning and are situated in a social/political context.
That being said, it’s really important to acknowledge that Neo-Nazis didn’t infiltrate the Punk subculture for no reason. Absolutely, make it clear that Neo-Nazis are not welcome in The Punk Scene. However, part of doing that means confronting how they got there.
Punk music isn’t all about one political stance, though it’s commonly anti-authoritarian. Anyone can utilize the genre to promote their own ideologies, even if a popular intention of the genre is to be anti-authoritarian. Green Day is just one of many bands who use Punk music to spread their ideology.
It’s not just punk. Music has been used as a form of rebellion against oppression for a hell of a long time. Fuck, centuries even. The people who don’t get this have most likely never been oppressed in their life.

We’ve been doing this shit forever, it’s not new. War, racism, fascism, homophobia… if it’s harmed people, it’s been put into music. It’s an incredibly powerful medium that has changed the world before, and to say that politics, hatred, and tragedy shouldn’t be featured is, honestly, simply ignorant.
I cannot deal with the sheer level of numbskull-ery in a statement like “Don’t bring politics into music” as if this is some Silly Tumblr Fad and not something that’s been a thing for over a hundred years

Allura and Lance were part of the same team that was tasked with tidying up the loose ends from the war. Among those tasks were euthanizing Champions, people experimented on by dark magic who were believed too unstable to live in society.
When Lance, who Allura was increasingly suspecting to be depressed and suicidal, took to the kid Champion Shiro and laughed for the first time in months, she quickly broke protocol, had Lance discharged, and banished them to the edge of the country where they could live in peace.
But when Lance was recalled the only thing she could have thought to do was influence an act where all Champions would be rehabilitated into the military rather than destroyed…thereby keeping Lance and Shiro together.
Shiro hated the Capital since they landed, and Allura decided to explain why he had to be here.
He had no idea Allura had done so much for them.
(Also he hates dancing, despite that he’s very good at it.)
