Knowing you have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, but the only problem is you haven't seen him for almost 2 years and he barley speaks to you. But you know on that 11 day cruise where you met and fell for each other it was meant to be. We have both grown since then but it sucks to have him string you along like there is still hope but still keeping you at distance where there won't be any harm for him. Did you feel the same way that I felt about you? You told me "right person, right place, wrong time." There was supposed to be a future but you just make it seem like there's only a past. A little tryst or a Christmas and New Years fling.. You only had those beautiful blue eyes for me. You were exactly what I had been praying to God for, for so long. Everything I have ever wanted. Except there was one rule, I was off limits till I was 21.. Well that is now less than 6 months away. But you are nowhere to be found except for ignoring the messages I had sent you. I want to hold on, I want to believe that there is still hope in it for you to surprise me. But then again how long can someone wait before they have to give up. I'm at a crossroads where I don't want to give up hope but with all the evidence it only seems logical. The thought of us together, you whisking me away and back to Europe with you are just dreams and thoughts I have held on to for the past 2 years. While I wonder if I even cross your mind once. As I write all of this out I believe that our love story is like the Titanic. Big and beautiful but not sturdy enough to stay afloat during the long rough roads. Or even like Jack and Rose, I was young and in love with a man that I know I could not be with, but I still played with the fire of love only to watch it freeze over and have to force myself to move on from the one man who was the ultimate love of my life. I find it hard to tell you the words and know that you quite possibly do not care but I know deep down you truly cared for me on that trip, the trip where my life had changed and my view on men broadened and my standards became higher. I will never forget the way your eyes locked to mine and hope that one day the man I walk down the aisle to has the same look you gave me when I would walk into a room. My passion and fire has come from learning to love. With the tears rolling down my face I can say that I will always have a special place in my heart for the man who stole mine away with that New Years kiss.
