Hmm, probably not. So what are you in Paris for anyway?

Well.. I wouldn’t stop them. 

And what makes you so special to deserve such treatment? 

The simplest answer to that is that I have to expect more from Paris than you. 

And what are you expecting them to do exactly? Bow down at your feet?

I thought the hotels in Paris would have some class

You must be staying at the wrong hotel then. Every time I've visited the French have been nothing but classy. 

The wedding was alright, at least the music didn’t bite the big one. I should go to Vortex tonight…see if I can find a guy to hang out with or something.

Your brother has surprisingly few single good looking friends. I went the other night and absolutely no one decent was there. It was a waste. Maybe you'll have better luck.

I did summer school from my Junior year in high school until I finished college and slammed my schedule full nearly every semester. I barely had a life outside of work and school and I was inevitably stressed out. However, I got to start my actual career a little earlier than most others that go into my profession, so it was worth it. I’m Meredith by the way.

I've been doing summer school for a couple of years now too. As well as taking college classes during my senior year, so I'm ahead of most people my age. My social life dwindles to almost nothing during the other semesters but it'll be worth it. Nice to meet you, I'm Ellie.

Holy shit, I know you’re busy in the library most days. I was a double major myself and I don’t know how I ever got any sleep.

Oh yeah, I do. I've only got 3 classes this summer so it's not that bad, but during the other semesters I'm pretty busy. Time management is one of my strong suits though so it isn't too bad. 

Yeah, it does take some getting used to. You’ll make a lot of money doing that though. What are you going to school for?

Definitely. Meet a lot of… interesting people. Ah, I was a waitress for about eight years until I finished school. I know you definitely must have interesting days.

I can imagine. I just started and it's taking some getting used to, that's for sure. Luckily my boss is pretty easy going and the customers seem to like me. But I needed something to do since I'm not taking that many hours this summer. 

I’m a psychiatrist, so my hours are insane most of the time. What about you?

Oh, yeah? That's cool, I bet you have some interesting days. Oh, I'm just a waitress and a student.

Lucky you. I’ve been working late all week, it’s been crazy. I’m glad for a couple days off.
