I just finished reading Afterlove by Tanya Byrne.
Was it good? Hell yeah. Did I cry? A lot. Am I ok? No. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, yes.
Shout out to people whose favorite book (or series) is one that doesn't have a fandom. People who found a random book somewhere and it changed your life and you love the characters and the story and the world but by nature of the sheer number of books that get published all the time forever, no one seems to have heard of it. Shout out to those who don't have fanart or fics or even people to talk to for their favorite book. I see you and I love you and huge mood someone else please read this so I can scream about it with you
how had I ever allowed Afterlove by Tanya Byrne to hurt me like this? Itâs so painful but very beautiful and cathartic. I will be forever crying Miss Byrne thank you for writing this book.

Ohhhh a few weeks ago on a trip to Germany I got my hands on a German copy of Afterlove (aka Everlove) and it is VERY exciting but I forgot to post a picture

But yesss I was on the hunt for it and found it in this place that had a bookshop with German books right next to the SAME bookshop but books in English so technically I found both

Just talking about some books I've read this year:
I'm reading a second fictional book this year that takes place in England, and once againt the main character is always talking about/is drinking, (she's 16) and its just weird to me becaus I'm in my late twenties and I do not like alcohol, yet there are so many teens that love it?
Maybe it just me, but why not make these characters adults, because this same character talked about having several hookups after drinking, and I'm like "how old are you?!"
British teen and avid Afterlove enjoyer here! Can confirm that a lot of the teens here (about sixteen, seventeen, sometimes fifteen) drink alcohol like nobody's business and it's sort of normal? I have a classmate who sits next to me in English Language who CONSTANTLY tells me stories about his nights out so these books are definitely accurate
Anyway yeah it was never really that weird to me when sixteen/seventeen year olds drank in books because it's sort of a cultural thing here I suppose lmao, technically not legal but pretty normal over here
