As I was looking into health watches, and calorie monitors, etc...as someone who is fashion conscious, I couldn't help but notice how bulky and unattractive they were.  Then I remembered that a friend of mine had recently purchased a Nike Fuel Band, and although a little bulky, it was relatively streamlined and nice looking.  I started looking into it and came across many articles comparing the Nike Fuel band to similar products.  The two that came up the most were the Jawbone Up and the Fitbit Flex.  After noticing the price, style and function differences of each, I decided that I was choosing between the Jawbone Up and the Fitbit, as the Fuelband does not track sleep.  Initially, I was thought I like the look of the Jawbone, but once in store, found that the Fitbit looked much better and felt more comfortable on  my wrist.

The Basics

The Fitbit Flex tracks calories burned, steps taken, miles walked, how active you are and sleep patterns.  You can also opt to enter in your food consumption (which I haven't taken advantage of).  The Fitbit Flex bluetooth connects to your phone, iPad or computer (with an included transmitter) via an easy to use application. ( WARNING: The FitBit app is not compatible with most Android phones yet...check the website to see if yours is a match.  But the computer app is fabulous!)  When you open the app, the Fitbit syncs to your app and helps keep you on track by setting daily goals and letting you know when you achieve them  The sleep function is what I find truly interesting.  The Fitbit tells you how long you took to fall asleep, how many times during the night you woke up or were restless, how many hours you slept and your sleep proficiency. 

Why I like it

Its super easy to wear and goes well with most looks. The app is simple to use and the information seems accurate.  The Fitbit holds a charge for a while, and you can purchase bracelets in other colors to match! I really love knowing how productive I am during the day and the encouragement my Fitbit gives me to get up and get active!

Re-watching the episode before tonight's season finale of Girls on HBO.  Haven't we all had that moment.  When someone who is no longer your someone reminds you of when they were your someone. Its a moment you want to forget and relive at the same time. Damn.

  Alas...season 2 of Girls have sent the critiques in a tail spin.  Dunham was more naked than ever, We saw Marnie fall into a down ward spiral and no one knows where Jessa went.  Let's not even get into Shosanna, 21, dating Ray, 33. Weird. 

I'm hoping for an Adam - Hannah reunion.  8 minutes.

As I do most nights, while laying in bed, I scrolled Pinterest and found myself in the health and beauty category.  I found a post on a product called Glam Glow that apparently celebrities have been raving about!  Its an exfoliating mask that is supposed to reduce poor size, extract and give skin an overall "glow."  This of course peaked my interest...as I haven't met a face mask I didn't love, and while my pores aren't horrible...they aren't great either.  I did some research and found some crazy images and a hefty price tag on the jar of Glam Glow that is...well....tiny small. But, I also found really great reviews.  

So...I set out to Sephora to check this product out in person.  For $69, the pore minimizing mask could be mine! But before I drop that much money on  a product, I want to try it out!  Thank goodness Sephora is totally down for loetting customers try products before they buy.  

Turns out you only need a super thin layer of Glam Glow to see results.  For the sake of you guys...I will show you a close up of the power of Glam Glow...but please don't judge my poor pores!

This was within 2 minutes of putting on the mask! It got right to work in clearly out those gunked up pores.  Now I am meticulous about washing my face and yet there is still crud to clear out...so imagine what it can do for you.  Not that you're face is a hazard zone...but...you know what I'm saying.
