The Isle of Misplaced Dolls

I've been spending the last few months rerooting some of my Skulltimate Secrets dolls.

Frankie (Snowflake and Black Magick from DollyHair and Deja Blue from The Doll Planet) has a headband that fits now lol.

Clawdeen (Ultraviolet from DollyHair and Purple Rasberry from The Doll Planet) I hand-braided, which took up most of the time (I know pre-braided doll hair exists, I just didn't feel like it).

And Draculaura (Cerise and Brandywine from ShimmerLocks) has hair that lays a bit more flat now.

I'm really happy with them, but I've also got a more full custom that I'm excited to get started with.

Been a minute, but another quick project to fill in the gaps. Restyled my g3 Cupid's hair!

Recent update (from when this was scheduled) is this Poison Ivy partial custom. I almost didn't buy this Ivy because her original outfit just didn't look great imo. But I couldn't get Harley and not get Ivy, so I decided to try and make her outfit one that I'd like better.

My main problems were the patterned fabric, how loose the gloves were, and the fact that her boots were unpainted even though Harley's were. It's not a huge difference, but I didn't feel like the design matched Harley before. As an aside, the new fabric always shows up darker in photos and I can't get the lighting or color balance right to fix that. In person, it is much closer to the leaves around her eyes.

And with this custom Garden Mysteries Venus, we're all caught up (theoretically, anyway. I scheduled these posts in advance lol). Another doll that I loved the concept of, but I kinda despised that they gave her zero hair texture. I didn't trust the poly hair, so I completely rerooted her head (bought nylon from dollyhair.com) and then curled and styled it and I love her so much more now.
