In fact. I think
Today I was confronted with the word “betrayal” which pretty much always triggers a feeling of uneasiness, hurt, anger, just a feeling of a smelly egg in a hot stuffy room. Time to open the window!
Meeting with a good brother in Christ we talked about cleaning our hearts, cleaning our temples and letting God work on the former hurts and disappointments to get rid of them. Else wise they are like a magnet, keep drawing the same problem, the same hurt in the oh so known same way. The antidote is to deal with it, forgiving and getting rid of it. That’s where God wants to come and help us to heal.
But are we allowing it?
Being close to His presence, becoming more like Him. Not being conformed to the world but to have a renewed mind. Being set free from the earthly standards.
Afterwards I met up with someone else and he told me about how important it is to plan, have control over your life and safety for the future, for your life. Yes, God can work through it. Yes, God can lead you through that way and work like that. Yes, it is right to use our brains and to check the good and bad things.
But by which measures are we measuring it?
Our standards, or God’s? Are we making ourselves to God’s here? Deciding what is right and wrong?
Making long term plans show a pretty good deal of persistence and risk. He told me to take a risk and that’s all when I realized: YES. This is the way I want to go. Being persistent with what God had entrusted me with. Being faithful and persevering with His rhema, His personal word.
Honestly, I do wonder if it wouldn’t be better to go a “normal” way. A mure safe one. One that is more easy for my surroundings to handle. In the end all comes together to one thing: trusting in God, from where all my safety comes from. #mightytower #mightywarrior #strongshelterandrock #faith
That is my risk. Going against what society and culture sees as correct and fixing my eyes on Him that holds all the earth, knows past and future. #Jesus #love
