Going back to Argentum Inanis, it is possible that Marvin isn’t part of IRIS and instead stole the Argentum from IRIS for magic and psychic purposes, but he probably got the wrong item, which was Antimatter aka Anti trapped in a crystal ball. Not know that physical touch can make Anti be connected to a person, Marvin touched the ball and he somehow got temporarily possessed and Anti made him shatter the ball and he was completely freed. Afterwards, he tricked Marvin’s mind into seeing that the ball wasn’t shattered and that it was the actual Argentum. But going back to IRIS, the organization was founded in 1922, which was around JJ’s era. This could mean that JJ was one of the founders alongside a few other alchemists and scientists. Together, they might’ve discovered how to be immortal, and JJ was one of the test subjects which would kinda explain why he’s still alive today. And they then discovered Antimatter and decided to test it on a willing volunteer. Everything seemed fine at first, the volunteer got cool powers for a bit, until the Antimatter started going out of control and killed the volunteer, ejected itself from them and then started taking human shape, becoming Anti as how we know him. He started killing all the scientists around him and the building went on code red. JJ and a few other scientists had to act quick to trap Anti and they found the crystal ball he was kept in before he was conscious. When they walked out of the room they were in, they were greeted by dead bodies and blood splattered everywhere. They confront him and they literally throw the ball at him as if he were a pokemon and that trapped him. After that JJ quit IRIS and went to persue a career in puppetering to get the images of dead employees and co workers out of his head. IRIS then started researching on how to open a door to the multiverse. Idk if it’s a good theory or a fanfic, cause i just randomly wrote this in my notes.
