Theo rolled his eyes ignoring her. “He’s right though. You gonna fight or stand there and attempt to look pretty.” He was taking jabs at her specifically so they could finally get this fight started. “Cause I’m starting to get bored. And you aren’t much to look at.”

Mave laughed, her head falling to her shoulder as her gaze flickered over Theo. “I have enough self-confidence that I don’t need your approval on my looks. I only need my own.” She offered him a patronizing smile. Mave wasn’t a physical fighter, she preferred to use her words. Better yet, she preferred as little human interaction as she could manage. “Or are you just too nervous to throw a punch at me...worried that my mouth might end up eating you whole if you get too close.” Mave jested, her body shifting forward, once again closing some of the gap between the two of them.

“The other half is telling me to take you to a pharmacy and drop you off. Too bad I don’t listed to my head and follow my gut” he chuckled again.

A light laugh parted her lips as he admitted what he was thinking. “Well then, aren’t you the gentleman?” her dark brow cocked curiously as she shifted her weight in his arms. She hated admitting defeat, much less having to admit that she did need his help right then.

Mave gave him a serious look, her shoulders hunching briefly towards her shoulders. “I have the utmost faith in you that if he were to get in this ring again, you would win in less than a minute. He doesn’t know how to use his weight,” she told him in a matter of fact tone. She bit back her remark pointing out how she was smaller than him and could still force him under her if she had the chance. “If it makes you feel any better, the blonde girl that won against you did so because she actually has skills.” Mave added with a light laugh, a simple smile flickering over her face. 

Theo rolled his eyes. “You read too much into everything.” He could give a shit if she stayed or not. All he cared about was her being a good fighter. If she was then she was worth the time she seemed to think she was worth. Otherwise he just wasted his time and that was unacceptable to him. Watching as she lifted her hand he looked at her.

Scoffing at her comment he did indeed start walking “You know I have half a mind to throw you in that dumpster and leave you there” he smirked, looking down at her in his arms

Her eyes rolled slightly and her mouth opened prepared with another remark. That’s half more of a brain then I thought you had. The words swam around in her mind but she bit them back, teeth on her lip. “And the other half?” she asked, allowing curiosity to win.

“Get used to it.” He replied rolling his eyes as he looked at her. A pleased smirk looked at him he pushed his hair back from his face. He could tell she was getting mad as hell. That was good maybe he’d finally get a fight out of her. He was starting to get bored. “I never play nice.”

Mave managed a tight lipped smile, though his remark seemed to bring back her usual cocky confidence. “Sounds like you want to keep me around.” she teased. “Why else should I get used to anything?” her head cocked curiously. “I never said I did either.” she drawled, taking delicate steps back towards him. This was starting to go on too long, even for her tastes. For a moment, an almost apologetic look crossed her face and she lifted a hand as though to strike him.

“I don’t like anything about you.” He retorted eyes narrowing as he looked at her. He paused completely and smirked at her. If she wasn’t going to make a move they were going to be here for a while. Because the last thing he was going to do was strike first. She wanted to mouth off she could deal with the consequences.

“You’re breaking my heart,” she responded, her nostrils flared as she breathed out heavily. The smirk she’d come in with had since been transformed into an agitated grimace. She was forced to crane her neck back to look at him while standing this close. Emerald eyes flashed dangerously, he was pushing her temper and the urge to free him from the row of teeth behind his pleased smirk was increasing. “And here I thought we were playing so nicely with one another.”

Theo watched her smirking he was honestly surprised. The way she acted earlier he had expected her to jump right in. Well unfortunately for her he had all day and he wasn’t about to be the one to hit first. Rolling his shoulders he kept walking around the ring. “C'mon sweetheart you know you wanna hit me.” He taunted trying to goad her into hitting him.

Her fists continued to clench and unclench. That damn smirk! It was beginning to make her skin crawl with just how smug he was. It bothered her because she knew he was just waiting for her to fail. Mave, who had been following him around the ring, keeping the distance between the two of them now stopped and turned back, taking a few quick steps back from the direction she’d come, stopping in front of him with a sneer. “Call me sweetheart and I’ll think you like me.” she warned. The muscles in her jaw were tight as her nails continued to dig into her palms. Don’t strike first!

Theo watched her smirking as she moved into the ring. He cocked his head studying her as he moved around the ring. Making no moves closer to her. No if she wanted to fight she’d have to hit him first. He wasn’t throwing the first punch. Mostly because he knew how on edge she was. And by not attacking her it would just heighten it.
