Well, this one wasn’t exactly a suffering-through-the-process kind of painting. I finished it in a couple of days, and honestly? I had a lot of fun with it. I really like painting people in profile. There’s just something about it.

I’m not going to get into my personal feelings about Mayhem or Pelle Ohlin here. I just wanted to show the painting. Although… I think the portrait itself makes it pretty damn obvious how warmly I feel about him as a person.

ANYWAY.

Acrylic on canvas. I’m really happy with how this one turned out. My cat kept me company by sitting on my lap while I painted the whole thing. 🖤

I’m honestly so happy that Pelle helped me crawl out of a three-year-long creative slump. Not drawing for three years and crying over it was a pretty miserable experience.
