Take 2! A gift for my dear mother who doesn’t like bright colours for some reason. This time I used actual straws that were sold as a substitute for the plastic straws since I figured they were less yellow than bucatini pasta so they would complement the gold better. Not my brightest idea since these turned out to be a nightmare to work with, so much so it took me a year to finish, but oh well, now I know. Also, I finally learned to do jeżyki flowers aka the spiky ones, so that was fun

I didn't have an access to natural straws and I didn't want to use plastic straws, as that would be rather dystopian, so I used bucatini pasta. Something something celebration of the grain that gives us food something source of food as an offer to the gods to grant us protection smth smth . It looks a little worse for wear bc I made it last year for winter holidays and it spent better half of the year hidden in the closet waiting for this year’s celebration.

Pisanki I made for this year’s Easter. Pisanki, or to be more specific kraszanki are colored eggs which are decorated by scratching their surface with a sharp tool to reveal the white of the egg shell.
