hi, is it okay to ask what materials do you use for traditional art like watercolor,pencils,pens etc? and which type of camera do you use to take pictures of your drawings cause they look so high quality. Your art is amazing btw i really love them ♡♡♡

I’ve been getting several asks about my traditional art material so I’ll try answering them in one post. Also I really enjoy talking and reviewing art tools so this post might get a little longo///o)9 💦 (please bear with me!)
for watercolor drawings I usually use
canson aquarelle watercolor paper 300gsm (blue left)
canson watercolor paper 200gsm (bottom)
and canson moulin du roy paper 300gsm(up).
Moulin du roy is my current favorite to use! It’s too pricey for me, but there was a huge discount in local art store and I just sort of…. bought it? [sweats nervously] It’s really really nice though! I got the hot-pressed one so it;s really smooth to draw on.
I use standard 0.5 mechanical pencils that you can get in bookstores. Nothing fancy about these haha (but I do like getting new models of pencil once in a while)
The pencil lead I’m currently using are from uni. I like these because they come in several variation and the packaging is cute too. I also use pencil lead from faber castell and pentel.
I’m really into dip inks right now. My current fave is Bombay inks from Dr. Ph. Martin (cherry red and teal) and I also use Liquitex ink (carbon black and burnt sienna) for lining my traditional art, although they’re a bit more expensive than Bombay inks. I also use J. Herbin perle noir ink in my pilot kakuno mostly for writing because it’s not waterproof.
I have two dip pen, Zebra G-pen nib and Zebra maru nib, the pen holder are both from tachikawa. I really like using these because the ink flow are so smooth. Though I almost never bring them outside because it’s not practical. Usually I use them at home.
I also use several disposable pen like:
tachikawa school g nib, for more practical drawing/sketching since it’s using ink cartridge instead of dip ink.
sakura pigma fine brush, I’m still trying to get used to this fickle thing. The brush is smooth but I. still. suck. at. using. these [lies down sadly]
white sakura gelly roll for highlight/while line on dark background.
white uni ball signo, same with the gelly roll.
I mainly use two watercolor set, winsor&newton cotman pan watercolor(left) and kuretake gansai tambi(right). I almost always use kuretake gansai tambi in home though, again because of practical reason (it’s so big💦) while cotman is more flexible to bring around. They’re both have the same quality I guess? I like the colors from both set although the gansai tambi have some colors that I can’t make from cotman.
When photographing my traditional works, I use my phone camera (Oppo F1s) along with two desk lamps covered with tissue paper to make the light softer haha, it looks very shabby irl. I also like to take the picture in my class at campus because there’s so many windows and natural light at noon ( ´ //// ` )💦
