Am I the only one who didn’t realize that UPS is the United PARCEL Service and not the United Postal Service? I definitely thought this because the USPS is the United States Postal Service.

I was tired of the pastel pan flag so I I made a luxe fabric version with saturated jewel tones.

I seem to remember watching this movie when I was younger and being completely captivated by how beautiful and enchanting the lead actress was. I think it had moon in the title?

As a pretty small child absolutely obsessed with fantasy role playing games and, lacking siblings to play with, I was pretty elated to be introduced the expansive universe of the MMORPG. As far as I was concerned, the genre included only one game, which was on the computer of my slightly older friend who lived far away and ignored content age restrictions. I was particularly enamored with the character option to play a humanoid rat person (with the humanoid cat person being a close second, if not tie), perhaps because of my affinity for the Redwall books. It was all my nerd child self wanted to do. But because my this friend lived far away and my mom didn’t want to buy media that she thought was too mature for my age, I only got to play the game a few times. I had a good imagination and spent years drawing and acting out my beloved humanoid rat character and biding my time until I could buy the game for myself.
When I was twelve I begged for the game World of Warcraft, completely convinced that it was the same game and was subsequently highly confused that there was no rat humanoid character option. Dismayed, I told all of my friends and family about the game I had played as a small child but they were all convinced that I had completely dreamed up the rat people (and the cat people for that matter). I googled furiously to try to find this mysterious game of my youth but was foiled by the 2007 internet. It turned out that WoW wasn’t even old enough to be the game of my early childhood. I was devastated that no one believed me, but I had waited years at that point and I knew I would find it eventually.
Then, just yesterday, I was talking to someone about old school gaming and they mentioned that there was an MMO celebrating its twentieth anniversary. I could feel it in my bones. That game would have had to have come out when I was three. I felt this stirring in my heart, “I’m going to find my rat people at long last.” Indeed, it was the same game, EVERQUEST, which comes with a humanoid rat people character option called the Ratonga and humanoid cat people called Vah Shir.
So, over a DECADE after I bought WoW thinking it was the game of my childhood, almost TWENTY YEARS after I first played that game, after all this time, I just want to say that I am VINDICATED that the rat people (and the cat people, for that matter) do exist:
Sometimes I just wish I could let my mountain peasant ancestors know that things are going comparatively well.
Okay, but who am I in the 19th Century

He did not remember where he had come from, nor where he had been going. It was no matter. Here were endless sands, and fires to steal scraps from, and worthy opponents to trap and torture. A cat might call himself a king, here.

Okay, but who am I in the 19th Century
I had a dream last night that I was co-hosting a party at @glumshoe‘s house and when I asked each of the roughly sixteen guests whether they would like tea, each of them responded in the affirmative and I had to set about finding a way to heat all of the water. When I asked my co-host whether or not there was a kettle I could avail myself of, I was received with polite and friendly confusion. I told them my name and that I was hosting, which they accepted with surprising grace, given that they didn’t know who I was. They introduced themself and it was when they leaned in closer, crinkling their white button-down shirt and vest on the lip of the counter, “My name is--” that the dream caught on a snag. It glitched for a few seconds while my brain buffered, “--Ship. You can call me Ship.” They gave me an apologetic smile so as to say, “Sorry, I know. File not found. You don’t know my real name.”
I know a lot of people are bothered by not knowing Ship’s real name, but what really gets me is that I never figured out how to boil the water for all the tea.

Year 2023: Guys... I think they’re about to shut tumblr down.
I love the neighborhood Floofy Cat so much. He recognizes my car and meows whenever he sees it in hopes that I will stop and pet. (I oblige.) But today mid-pet Floofy Cat monched my whole ankle in his mouth and it Did Me A Concern. But Floofy Cat was not a n g e r y and wants more pets?? I do not understand.
Yesterday I sat on the curb in the sun with Floofy Cat and he did me an Affection! But then he nuzzled around behind me and did me a pounce on the back(!!!!). Why! I am informed by a reliable source that he thinks I am his playmate but I am not fluent in cat. Not even conversant :( . I l o v e Floofy Cat and know he means me no harm but I wish he understood I am too s o f t for pounce with smol claws.
This is Floofy Cat ♡
