TMTBS is a complete reboot of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, changing many of the details, including but not limited to names, personalities, and plot lines
This is a love letter to Miraculous, as while I love the original show, many details are lack luster, and rather than trying to rewrite the story like many have done in the past (myself included), I decided what better way to make the story better than by making it my own?
Below is the story description and some extra details you may be curious about!
Adrienâs best friends, Robin Moon and Conner Laporte, are showing him more of the world, Robin showing him the beauty of story telling and Conner showing him the art of the world
Colette and Adrien slowly become friends as both themselves and Lady Beetle and Shadow Noire and slowly fall in love, but not with the same version, creating a love square that ends in pining, heartbreak, and eventually love
Various Changes:
The Miracle Boxes - There are a total of 13 Miracle Boxes in the world of TMTBS, the main one used during the story being the French Box, with several other Boxes showing up throughout the story
The Miraculous/Miracles - The Miraculous are now called Miracles, there are 88 total Miracles over the 13 Boxes
The Kwamis/Faeries - The Kwamis are now called Faeries and all of their names have been changed (Tikki and Plagg are now Vita and Mors)
The Akumaâs/Morphoâs - Akumatization has been renamed to Metamorphosis, with the butterflyâs being called Morphâs, and the champions/victims being called Morphoâs
The Hero Team - There will be 13 heroes and 1 villain within TMTBS, but 20* holders shown throughout the series
Character Names - Almost every character has had their full name changed with a few exceptions such as Adrien and Luka

Currently trying to decide if/how Adrien should he disabled for my reboot because on one hand, I LOVE disabled Adrien headcanons, especially when they play off his concept art, but on the other hand, he doesnât need to he disabled, especially since I have a few other disabled characters in the main cast
So Iâm rewatching Startrain and while I donât always enjoy the world building for the Miraculous (COUGH Gabriel âremakingâ their magic COUGH) I have to say I REALLY like the addition that Hawk Moth has a set range he can communicate with not just the butterflys but his victims
Sure theyâre magic, but without some limitations, you make them TOO powerful
It is interesting and annoying that this is seemingly the Butterfly Miraculousâ only weakness (excluding only being able to send out one Akuma/Kamiko at a time, but that isnât an exclusive weakness) and I wish we got to see this more often
And as Iâm writing this, I just realized that this isnt brought back in A Fairy Good Night
Sheâs literally sleeping on the moon but Chrysalis is still able to communicate with her
In this instance it might be just close enough but then why did Hawk Moth lose contact halfway to London? Was it because it was just the butterfly and not the Akuma? If so, why is the distance to the butterfly shorter than the Akuma?
And here I was praising them for coming up with a weakness that made sense and yet they didnât keep it ;-;
Itâs weird how close I am to being done with the art for TMTBS because I started it about a month and a half ago? And before that I was almost finished with everything and ready to write, so this is the second time Iâve been almost about to start so it feels unreal that the story is gonna start being posted within the next month to month and a half
Anyway, with that said, 6 of the civilian designs have been completed, 3 are WIP, and 5 havenât been started yet; additionally 2 hero designs are finished and 3 are WIP; lastly most Akumaâs/Morphoâs wonât be drawn, but I will draw the main castâs as well
That said: once I finish the civilian designs (and possibly change Lady Beetle and Shadow Noire for the fourth time) Iâm going to start writing

- Colette (Marinette) and Adrien are basically done with only a few possible tweaks needed for Adrienâs design and their extra outfits
- Julia (Juleka) is almost completely done, I have one design left to finalize
- Kagami is slowly being worked on, I have two designs finalized
- Every other character hasnât begun being drawn yet, however their designs are being brainstormed
- Now that I have four civilians done (mostly) I have a better idea of how long thisâll take so Iâm focusing on the characters that will appear in Origins and Season One so I can start writing by the end of this month
- The Kwamiâs and Miraculous are going to be renamed Faeries and Miracles respectively and will be referred as such going forward
