ok to basically explain all of this, paperjam was created by ink to be a clone used against error during a fight. Error used his strings to destroy them but one survived, creating Paperjam!
PJ doesnt really know who, what, or where they are, but they do spot Error and Ink fighting, and decided that they didn't like that. they also spotted error's lil puppets he makes of all of the aus.
Pj takes the puppets and uses them as a basis to create their own au where they can take care of everyone. obviously an outcode character creating their own world wouldn't go unnoticed to any other higher power, unfortunately, Fresh is the first to find this au.
Being really curious about how PaperJam was able to create their own world, he tries to infiltrate and mess with them a little bit. But to Fresh's surprise, despite his power, he still has to follow Paperjam's laws of their world, causing him to turn into a kid.
Fresh is still perfectly concious(and not fucking in love with paperjam if he is brothers with error, and in this au he is.) but plays along with Paperjam's universe, as long as he gets to figure out where Pj is getting their power from and how he can use it for himself.
I also rewrote how the kids act lol. The "kids/Puppets" act very different from the original pj's daycare. All of the kids are puppets made from Pj, who doesn't really understand how they act.
Ink is emotionless when he's not taking his ink vials, so his "kid/puppet" acts the same way. But instead of seeing him as an emotionless husk, PJ's rewritten everyone's minds into just thinking ink is shy, even if he's not.
Error's "puppet/kid" is a corrupted file that keeps infecting the au. so to contain him, PJ has rewritten his code/existance to be constantly "sick"
