[WIP] Primarina gijinka (pt. 2)

Another WIP of my Primarina gijinka re-design! The line art and flat colors are now done, it's time to start on the rendering process~

(Lol oml the lines took me a good 2 weeks on-and-off to finish while base colors only took me about 4 hours to do in comparison...)

Hiiii I'm alive lol :D Currently working on this because I felt this sudden visceral urge to re-design an old asf Primarina gijinka design I made 9-10+ years ago

The old design had more of a water mage vibe, but for this rendition I wanted to go for more of a singer/songstress concept!

I've been working on this for the past 5 days and I'm very happy to say that it is finally complete! ;v; It took me so much time and effort just to attempt cramming as many tiny details into this chibi as I could, and despite all the struggles I had, I'm also glad it turned out pretty well in the end! This was definitely a learning experience LMAO

I was admittedly feeling quite ambitious about this ngl lol...perhaps next time if I ever draw another Hoyoverse character, I try with a simpler character design =v=;;

Tweaked something in the lineart again and added the base colors!

....Goodness gracious, it took me 14 layers alone just to lay down all the colors OTL Time to start the rendering process lol (Sorry for spamming so many WIPs, but this has been quite the process omfg)

Some things were tweaked here and there and I also added the rest of the detail to the bottom part of his coat, but the lineart is now done! Time to begin adding some color to this~

A friend of mine IRL who plays the game is a fan of him, and I decided to try drawing him today.....(Lord have mercy, this guy has such a ridiculously detailed character design; the hand cramps and struggling are both so real rn oml)

I am most definitely going to tweak and add a couple things here and there before I go ahead and start the line art but yeah lol wish me luck

Despite me saying back in January that I'll try to be more active again on my social medias, I went MIA for a good 2 months to *continue* being an unmotivated blob. But I'm back this time, and I've finally decided to reopen my commissions for real this time around; both because I want to 1) rediscover my love for drawing, 2) get back into the grind and start being productive with my life again, and 3) my day job hours have not been great and ya girl's gotta pay the bills somehow lol ^^;

I know I initially wanted to make three samples, but since I took such a ridiculously long time to finish one sample, there may be a change in plans and I'll probably just stick to just having this one sample drawing instead.

This took me a while, but I finally got this reference sheet of my OC Sveila finished!

As a quick side note, a goal of mine for this year is to draw more often; in 2025 I didn't draw nearly as much as I did in previous years and I want to make up for lost time. On that note, my hours at my day job also got severely cut now that the holiday season is over, so I'm probably going to try doing commission work again (via my Ko-Fi) on the side to help pay bills.
