I've been debating if I wanna deal with the assumptions this will cause for months now and I was just woken up in a way that pissed me off so I'm angry and I'm tired of holding myself back because of other people's bullshit
when I came out as a trans man I had a very binary idea of what a trans man can be in my head, over time I've come to be more comfortable with girly clothes and long hair and makeup, one thing that I've been ignoring for years though are my pronouns
yes I am comfortable with he/him, yes those pronouns feel right, but only he/him doesn't feel right
I'm going to start using he/they pronouns, this isn't as simple as just being comfortable with both, I'm uncomfortable with just he/him and I'm uncomfortable with just they/them, alone they both feel just slightly off to me, I'm most comfortable when using both, them together feels much more right than either or
this doesn't mean I'm nonbinary, not everyone that uses they/them pronouns are nonbinary, I am still a man, just a man coming to terms with the fact that he doesn't fit into a neat little box
I'm sorry if the aggresiveness of this post feels unwarranted but my whole life people have learned one little thing about me and proceeded to make giant leaps of assumption and refuse to listen to the truth and I'm just... so tired of it... I'm so tired of having to defend my gender and sexuality to people that think they know me better than I do..
