How they met- see image in linked post, mostly, maybe Irene's dad would come at the same time every other day or so at the restaurant she worked at, and just coincidentally it was during her shifts too. And then it would bloom into something more, or something... at the time, maybe both are in their mid-to-late 20s, with Irene's father having only recently (1-or-so year...ish?) moved to Japan, and Irene's mother is, er, waitress-ing.

Personalities- nothing too contrasting I'd imagine...? to be honest, trying to think of it as the sort of, "Irene takes from [blank]" part... personality wise, Irene's a bit different from her parents, but to be fair she wasn't always like how she is now. :,( She takes after her father's hard working personality but tends to disregard her own needs. As for her mother, in my head she's a little more outgoing than her father (considering she probably called him out(endearingly) for coming over at the same time every day). I would have imagined she would have encouraged her daughter to "be a little more outgoing", or something along those lines. She has her mother's square eyes (which I've only decided now. it's gotta come from somewhere)

Names/ethnicities - names, no clue... if it's Irene Nichijou, then they're Mr. and Ms. Nichijou... I've never been good with names, either they come instantly or take another forty years... (If you want to take on that task I'll give it to you. (grin)) on a related topic, it was a loooooong time ago but I've imagined her mother's last name to be Maebashi, because it was close to Naganohara and Tamamura respectively, but if her father's not Japanese, their last name would be different, wouldn't it? Is it a valid surname, too? ethnicities, for some reason, I had always imagined Irene to be part Irish from her father's side but recently I've endearingly headcanoned that her father's Canadian. It can be both.

Eye colors- Irene's mother's eyes are brown, and her father's eyes are green.
