Exploitation | Armin & Min
Armin was more bothered by the idea of Min sitting with him than being called a âbottom-feederâ. That one rolled right off him. However, the idea of having to share his workspace was detestable. Not even Jamad got that luxury.
He drew his wand. With Princeâs watchful eye cast in their direction, Armin wasnât foolish enough to do anything to Min. Instead he muttered a little enchantment under his breath and tapped the point of his wand against the book in question.
âYou can still try to take the book if you want,â he said darkly to Min. âBut Iâm not responsible for what happens to you the moment you touch its pages. Only I know the counter to the curse I just put on it. Do you want to risk the consequences?â Armin was good enough to put hir in the hospital wing, and he was already preparing his excuses about protecting his books from theft. Having Prince watching them was working to his advantage in this instance.
âHoweverâŚâ He purposely drew out his pause, ââŚI may be persuaded to let you have it⌠if you beg.â
Minâs back immediately went ramrod straight, shoulders tight with barely contained fury. Â Hir eyes flicked back and forth between Armin and the book only once before they settled on the cretin, blazing with unbridled malice, fingers clenching and unclenching so that they didnât move to hir wand. Oh, there is no fucking way! Â Min was not going to beg, not even if hir life depended on it. Â
It could be that Armin was bluffing, but there wasnât a very big likelihood of that. Â He also might be lying about being the only one to know the countercurse, but without having heard what heâd done, there was also a very low likelihood of hir figuring out the countercurse before whatever nasty little spell heâd cast put hir in the hospital wing. Â
Ze sat down across from Shafiq, movements dangerously slow and calm as ze began to pull out hir other work. Â âLook, Prince may not be my biggest fan, but sending me to the hospital wing is not going to work in your favor,â ze hissed quietly. Â âSo, you musty, egotistical waste of air, Iâm going to sit here and Iâm going to do my homework and when you decide that youâve had enough, then youâre going to give me the book and let me finish my goddamned homework in peace.â
