please feel free to link where any of the people who care so much about BTS not being asian american talked about any of the other people who spoke at the white house this month. just one. find my anyone who spoke about asian american community leaders meeting with the president, who now cares about BTS talking about hate crimes as well.

BTS was invited because they knew it would bring press, and it worked. the visit was symbolic and biden continues being useless — but BTS brining press to the issue and to the hundreds of asian americans who also spoke this month is not a bad thing. now, because of this ask and this situation, YOU know about those community leaders and can look into it too.

and to the people saying "they could've invited an asian american kpop idol instead!!!!!!!!!!!!": they also invited household name asian american celebrities like daniel dae kim, naomi osaka, and michelle kwan, and even that didn't get the press BTS got. the articles exist — NBC and more wrote about daniel dae kim at the white house, for example. people just didn't care. and if you honestly think NCT member #18 or BM from kard has the same level of fame as BTS or even daniel dae kim and naomi osaka, that's a level of delusion i don't think can be helped
