I am pretty fucking stoked on having some photos in THERE WILL BE BLOOD by the Naptown Collective, especially because I haven’t been feeling confident to show/talk/make/photograph anything at all. It also feels good to see them in print rather than just disappear in the tumblr vacuum. I can’t articulate the initial feeling I get when I look that these photos, but it is followed by a flooding sense of relief. The ability we have to create a sense of reality/self that feels very static and very, very concrete but is actually a complex multilayered illusion amazes me. What I thought was forever and inescapable is now just a roll of film I forgot about.
