Our little girls have arrived Safely thanks to @pilotsnpaws volunteers Wayne and Sandra! Foster dad Rick was there to meet and transport them to their foster home. It takes a village and we're grateful for all of the helping hands that make these rescues possible! (at Deer Valley Airport)

We have a rescue under way! On the left we have a 1 year old female min pin/chihuahua that has a broken leg and pelvis. On the right is a 10 month old Maltese mix that is suffering from hair loss. Thanks to @pilotsnpaws they are currently en route to Phoenix and will arrive shortly!

Today it's finally happening!!! Sable gets to go home. A few weeks ago we were asked to help facility getting Sable from the @yavapaihumane in Prescott back to her mom in Fort Worth, TX. We were happy to reach out to @pilotsnpaws for assistance. Pilot Mike and his wife right away offered to help. Sable took off this morning for an all day trip on her own private plane! Remember Tia, the pup from Tijuana with deformed back legs? As we've already shared, her cart has arrived! However, since she's spent her entire life walking on her front two legs it's taking so time for her to adjust to the change of using it. We hope to post a video soon of her using her cart, but in the meantime wanted to remind our friends and followers that she still is available for adoption! Many thanks to @sunflower_pet for their generous supply of food for our dogs. A small, foster based rescues like ours works on a shoe-string budget, putting the needs of the animals in our care first. Our rescue in particular takes in a large number of medically compromised dogs so donated funds and adoption fees go to cover their care. As a result, our fosters absorb most of the cost of food, toys and supplies for their foster dogs. It is so fabulous to have the donated food to share with our fosters. It saddens us to share that last week Alejandro went over the Rainbow Bridge. As you are aware, Alejandro came to our rescue via a contact in Tijuana, Mexico. After he arrived we found he had kidney disease. At that time MMM decided he would be kept in hospice. Last week Alejandro began to rapidly decline over just a few days. He had trouble walking to go outside, ate very little food, and just sat on a blanket under his foster mom’s desk. It was time. While it is our goal to place pups in forever homes our ultimate goal is to treat all animals with respect and provide a quality of life they deserve. When that quality of life diminishes we honor our promise to them. Alejandro lived his final months in a loving foster home…not on the streets of Mexico. He passed peacefully, knowing he was loved. Is Senior Tuesday a thing? No?! Well, we're making today Senior Thursday to feature Shanti! Shanti spent most of her life as a puppy mill dog. 😞 She has since been with MMM as a foster for for 2 years. At somewhere between 9-11 years old we have no doubt Shanti's golden years will be the best of her life and we're hoping to find her the home she's always deserved. Billy is approximately 7 yrs old and was sadly surrendered with his 'brother', Peppy, to the Arizona Humane Society due to their human entering a care facility. AHS didn't require that they be pulled together, but given their worlds have recently been turned upside down we thought it was in their best interest to do so. Peppy has since found his forever home, but Billy is still waiting for his perfect family to arrive. Billy is friendly, housebroken and can use a dog door. He is good with other dogs and supposedly cats but he has not been tested in his foster home. He has been crate trained too. Billy's foster has been practicing walking on a leash and he is getting better and better by the day. We love his cute little prance when he walks, because it look like he's on a pogo stick. Billy does well with other dogs but has a habit of rambunctiously grabbing treats from your fingers when they are offered so we'd recommend a forever home with older children.
