[ Dread, that stomach dropping, heart thudding, face burning dread filled her at the sight of his frown. No, no don’t do that never do that please! ]

           ” NO! “

[ Words leaping out of her mouth was really starting to become a problem around him. Get a grip girl! Be cool. Think cool, be cool and it you can’t, for the love of god pretend! ]

          ”I just meant… Sure, if you’re offerin lessons…         What girl in her right mind would pass that up? “

[ From bumbling embarrassment to near coherent flirting in a blink, Thea had no idea where it had come from- no time to think about that though, she had to make sure she didn’t screw it up. Flashing a playful little smile she subdued the butterflies in her stomach and just reminded herself to breath. ]

                               ”Let me guess, you're a girl in her right mind?”

           [ He gave her a look up and down, subconsciously licking his lips again before meeting her eyes. ]

                               ”Because you're definitely in the right body.”

It came in a panging matter. An uproarous jolt, more like. Where from or why, Sonya didn’t know, but it was there all the same: this wouldn’t be just another kiss to her, whether she liked it or not. Perhaps in gradually increasing fits of energy was a better way to describe said feeling, this being the epiphanic climax. It had whispered sweet nothings into her ear since they first collided, until it had filled up all the places that were left unoccupied. The girl didn’t have any basis to this, no prior attraction to justify such a seemingly sporadic turn of events. But, there were times when you just knew, and this was no exception. She knew, in the way he cupped her face that gave her that jarring, tingling sensation sort of a feeling. She knew in the way she felt flustered and worked up, but in an oddly positive sort of way. She knew in the fact that she didn’t want to let go.

Sonya let her mouth part the slightest bit for him, feeling her heart rate speed up when he “went for it”, so to speak. Letting one hand retain its place against the back of his neck, she had the other find a place on his rather nicely sculpted bicep, her tumb hooking over the sleeve of his shirt and her other fingers under. Despite lacking prior experience, she somehow knew what to do, as if she could continue until- until she was exhausted.

She felt a certain burst of acute exhaustion, knowing that stopping for just a minute to take it all in was necessary. Sonya let the rest of her energy sap out into one final kiss, parting slowly after and just standing there for a moment- starkly still, until she rested her forehead against his. That was all she did from then, letting her hand placement and proximity to him remain as they were. Breathing in and out slowly, she let the overbearing realization of how she really and truly felt completely occupy her, going from being one of the few things ot the only. She couldn’t be any more certain about it than she was now.

His lips were still tingling when she pulled back the slightest bit and he held his breath. Then, when he felt her breath and her forehead touching his, he smiled the tiniest bit. There was still darkness— his eyes were still closed— but he saw bright lights behind his eyelids. The lights rested on the edge of his eyelids and he realized there were tears making their way down his face. He wanted to laugh, and knew he would if she noticed. Pretty things make you cry, and this, and you, are beautiful, he thought.

At the thought his hands tightened a tiny bit on her cheeks, before smoothing back and tucking hair over her ears, tracing their shapes. He finally breathed out, giving up the tingling in his lips to stop the ache in his chest. It only partially worked. He didn't want to speak, but he wanted to break the silence, and before he could figure out what he really wanted his mouth was moving anyways. "Wow." Just a whisper. His heart started beating faster the longer they were pressed together.

                    [ Minho glanced up and shook his head. for a moment he considered a sarcastic reply, but his head throbbed and he decided mostly against it. ]

[ Thea, felt like… puppies and sunshine and freshly fallen snow. I was stupid she knew- had she ever even seen real snow before- but be was talking to her- not around her or to someone she was with but to her, with her. Her thoughts were light and giddy as she watched his lips move- his adorable lips always itching to spread into a sly smile. Yeah, she thought to herself, cool. ]

                “Whatever.”

[ -Wait what? Thea could feel herself panic at the word that had popped out of her mouth with no real thought at all. Dammit dammit dammit!]

               ”I mean… y’know whatever.”

[Oh god, it didn’t sound any less ridiculous the second time around. ]

                               "So, whatever? As in, yeah, you're a funny shank, please walk away now?"

           [ His voice was completely joking, and he found himself hoping against hope she didn't take it as a true suggestion. Awkward as it slightly felt, he was enjoying the conversation. ]

                               "Or whatever as in... what?"

          [ he could sense a competitive fire within the girl and he felt his own nature flaring up, ready to match her step-for-step. this— this was part of what he'd been missing. everything was almost too complacent, people too willing to sit in their safety.                   he wanted to take chances, risks, whether with his life, safety, or dignity. this was probably a dignity risk, but he flexed again to up his own confidence. ]

[The speed with which Thea’s head whipped around to face him must have made a semi-sonic crack- or maybe it had just been in her head. She hadn’t actually been speaking to anyone in particular, and certainly not him, not Minho who she’d only ever actually spoken to in her head- oh God that was so embarrassing! This-this was so embarrassing she had to say something - say something Athena! Now before he thinks you’re mute! ]

                            I-I- I don’t know how to. Drive I mean- I don’t- I mean                         I’ve never… driven before…

[ Oh god. This was a nightmare. She was actually living a nightmare right now.]

                               I don't think any of us did— other than the city Munies, but who cares about them. And who really wants to get taught by them either? 

           [ Forehead wrinkling with the memory, Minho bit his lip. He'd only learned because Newt had needed things— and no way was he letting his best friend leave the safety of the camp. He'd also found a fairly young and attractive Munie to teach him— both about driving and car sex. Now he grinned at the memory, before returning his full attention to the girl in front of him. ]

                               You want someone to teach you?

"Well, that was what I kind of had in mind," She said, coming off as if she was joking but really just a little worried. Did he not want to? Was that one fail of a kiss enough for him to form the judgement that she wasn’t worth his time, his lust occupied time? Sonya didn’t know what to think. She should be the one running away from him, but rather, it felt as if it was the exact opposite. She’d always viewed herself as someone who could do better than the likes of him, but for some reason, she didn’t have it in her to do so. There was just something about him, something that made him stand out against the rest- though she couldn’t quite put a finger on it. Well, she’d most likely find out soon enough. She lifted her head up when he said “yeah” to it. He hadn’t turned her down and wanted to do it, even if it was just a one time thing and what Sonya felt even though she didn’t know it. Her blush had receded somewhat and was replaced with a smile, dashed with childhood-like excitement. She hated to throw this sort of thing away on him, but her unwillingness to do just that blindsided her. Her desire bubbled in her chest as she considered how she’d execute it- without making herself look like a fool, of course. Should she go in short and sweet, or should she- Oh screw it, she thought, letting her desire take over as she pressed her lips to his, letting her arms hang at her side for a bit before wrapping them loosely around his neck. She felt the same electrifying jolt as before, overcoming her with the force of a hurricane- but she didn’t let go this time. She promised herself that.

It felt like an eternity processing but seconds had passed, and he let his tongue reach out, hands finally getting the message and cupping her face. It was automatic, this was how he kissed. Lips to tongue and hands, to hands all over and hips pressing and messy getting off in corners and closets. This was stress-relief, but it felt wrong to go further when the longer their lips were connected the more calm he got.

And he felt her hands on the back of his neck belatedly, only after he'd processed everything else. The touch sent shivers down his back and he almost let out a whimper, but clenched his throat to hold in the sounds. It didn't feel right to break the sound of the forrest that they stood next to, the wind in the trees and the birds chirping.

  “Not quite the flawless god of runners if you play dirty, now are you?”        [ she asked the question-like statement with a mocking tone, scoffing into the wind. ]

             [ he chanced a flirty grin, winking to finish the look. ]                                                          "Oh. Well, shank, I can play plenty dirty."

          [ there was a pause while he considered her. but after the beat he grinned again, rolling his shoulders and flexing his muscles in a way he hoped was attractive— and had been told was. ]

          “What? Jealous?”

[ The word slipped out of her dripping with disdain. Thea was usually one for politeness, but her emotions had been running the gambit between a renewed appreciation for life and pure dread of it for some time now. ]

                           I’ll just stick to a postcard.

[ He raised an eyebrow at the girl, not seeing the connection between driving and the negative emotion in her voice. ]

                               What've you got against shucking driving of all things?

 [ He reached up, running a finger over the shape of his eyebrow. His other hand reached to his butt ]
