Before anything, I'm not good with words, English is hard at times so sorry if anything reads weird.

It might seem weird to say this about a fic like this but, thank you. Everytime I read this story I wait until the dead of night so I can experience everything in peace and silence, fully take in your words, and honestly there's been times were I've gotten so invested in the narrative that I wanted to cry. This happen more in the first chapters with Kel's Suicidal idealization, because I've been there, maybe not in the hyper specific situation of Kel but on that same mindset, having zero cares about were this careless decision might lead me, one could even say "being reckless". It's HARD to get yourself out of that mindset and sometimes you snap out of it once the consequences start to seem real, until that primal fear ment to keep you alive kicks in. The scene of them sobbing with Kerf seriously made me emotional, had to stop reading for a moment just to calm down.

Now in this later chapters is honestly beautiful to see him slowly find (literally) comfort on this new skin of them, no longer cowering in fear but ready to fight, looking at the bright light at the end of the tunel not with fear but hope.

CotV was the story that got me reading fics again after almost an entire decade of abandoning the practice and honestly it's such a cool concept with a wonderful message to accompany it.

TLDR; Thank you for writing such a cool story that I weirdly started to relate to. <3
