I'll admit I have been duped. I saw the ads for Cider on my feed last year and checked out the site thinking it was just a cute alt brand. I didn't have any red flags raise because the prices seemed normal. Alas I saw a video on them and I am now disappointed. A ultra fast fashion brand. Yay. I'd never shame anyone for buying from them obviously but they will no longer be getting my money. I have two or three pieces I will be keeping from them but I think I'm gonna remove the tags from them so they don't show as free promo in my grwms. Trying to get clothes nowadays without breaking the wallet is getting harder and harder but I will say. I tried depop years ago and they didn't have much in my style and definitely not in my size. (I'm a large/14-16) But in the wake of learning what cider was I did decide to see if the thrifting game has gotten better options wise for me and OMG IT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!! So much cute stuff at great prices yay! To be clear I still shop at department stores every once and a while. Who doesn't love a little mall day treat? But man do I feel better! Navigating practicality and morals can be really hard and really get you slammed online but I feel like I have a good reasonable balance now. If I can't find pants and I need some I feel no shame hitting up old navy. If I see a really cute sweater in a store window every once and a while I have no problem buying it. But I also highly enjoy the long search for that one really cool thrifted blazer or jacket that feels like one of a kind. It definitely makes me buy less and buy slower that's for sure. Base line is I am normal person in a messed up economy doing my best whilst still enjoying my life and self expression. And that is enough. 🥰

You should never not let yourself get happy about the little things. Never keep yourself numb because it seems so insignificant and trivial especially compared to the big wide world of the internet. I've collected $1 pokemon cards today because they were cute and of my favorite characters. I finally got out of a music rut thanks to Click Clack Symphony by Raye. I found the presumed dead and gone other half of one of my favorite pairs of earrings in the pocket of the car's side door. Life is beautiful in all it's simplicity. Simple will keep you happy when grandeur is a far off circumstance. It's your sustenance. Take it.

Animating is all fun and games until you have to go back and update your old assets from nearly the ground up. Lawd help me this sprite folder is so beefy it could sell for premium filet mignon prices.

Any other alt fashion loving girlies clutching to hope that we'll get kawaii or punk skins for Bucky in Marvel rivals? Cause I've been gripping that steering wheel since the start.

As someone who likes to customize pieces of my wardrobe to be dedicated to specific characters I've found I've run into the same habit where I will snag a unique piece for my wardrobe thinking: "Oh this will be perfect to customize for *character*!" And then that piece will sit in my closet for literal months as I gather all the other pieces for the full outfit. Mostly that just means pins or patches. They are my favorite way to customize a piece but I'm picky with the ones I choose and they aren't cheap so it takes me quite a long time to gather enough to fully complete that piece. I'm debating whether or not I should make a vid showing those different pieces in their bare form as a little insight into my process for my audience. Would anyone be curious I wonder? Would they find it interesting at all? Maybe I just have to make the video and post it to see. Who knows?
