“I will love you in every lifetime, Kacchan…”
I cried when I drew this. If you’re a manga reader, it was during that time 🍂
I originally gonna draw something each episode of Season 6 but I got distracted drawing bakugo once again.

I got myself a fluffy goose bag from a while ago! I drew Bakugo presenting that I got myself a fluffy goose bag. That's all the context of this drawing.
Potsu potsu
Potsu potsu ポツポツ「Pitter-patter」
— onomatopoeia of raindrops starting to fall; pitter-patter
Where de-aged Katsuki (4 y/o) grew to love the rain because of Izuku
If Katsuki could fight the rain, trust him, he would. That was how much he hated it.
Not only was it wet, loud, and cold, it was getting in the way of his perfect plans.
To him, those clouds and winds spelled nothing but trouble. And when it finally rained, he knew it wasn’t going to be a drizzle, especially with the thunder roaring like that.
With a cheek nestled on his palm, Katsuki pouted as he stared at the window, listening to the endless pitter-patter, hoping that it would stop. A sight of yellow, red, and blue caught his eyes.
There it was, dangling against the window—the All Might fine weather doll that he and Izuku made yesterday.
“Oi, do your thing All Might. Make it stop,” Katsuki demanded, poking it with his other hand.
But the rain went on without any restraints, seemingly getting stronger and heavier with each hour.
Katsuki huffed and looked at his drawing. It was supposed to be a gift but ever since the downpour, the excitement to finish it as soon as possible left him. Even the All Might-shaped cookies by his side that he intentionally saved for later were left untouched.
The rain was such a mood killer.
He tried picking up the crayon again and got papers so he could draw something else to pass the time. But while coloring, the curly mop of green hair on his new piece made him pause.
All it did was make him miss the warmth of the sun on his skin. Of the vast forest where he laughed freely and ran as fast as he could while Izuku chased him.
It reminded him of the moments when it was just him and Izuku against the world.
The only thing that kept Katsuki motivated today was Izuku’s arrival later. But it seemed that he was likely going to be late.
Katsuki glanced at the clock and clicked his tongue when he realized it was almost 4 in the afternoon and Izuku wasn’t here yet like he promised. It was as if the rain kept him from coming over to his room like Izuku always did after their nursery classes. And maybe the rain did.
The rain really ruined everything.
“Stupid Deku. Shitty rain.”
He looked up at the sky again when he heard the thunder rumble, followed by a quick flash of lightning.
The day had been beautiful with clear blue skies yet all it took was dark clouds to obscure it.
He accounted for everything. He even endured listening to the boring news with a gloomy yellow worm to ensure that everything would go well. It said that today would be sunny.
Yet all it took was a sudden rain and everything was already falling to pieces.
Idiots. They couldn’t even do their job right.
Izuku pinky promised him that they would watch the new All Might movie after his classes. Katsuki thought that Izuku would be more bummed out because of the rain.
And with that thought, an idea struck him.
The rain came out of nowhere. He recalled the time Izuku would come back after he just left their house because he forgot his toy. He even forgot his bag once.
Izuku probably—no.
Katsuki knew for sure that Izuku forgot his umbrella.
“Stupid Deku always forgets his things.”
With his mind made up, he had a new agenda for today. A mission of sorts. One that invigorated him more than the initial plans he had.
Katsuki took it upon himself to bring an umbrella for Izuku.
A grin curled on his face. Like the heroes that save people in trouble, he was going to save Izuku from the rain.
He was going to be Izuku’s hero.
But first, he had to get past a villain. That giant yellow worm.
The worm had been watching him like a hawk, complaining about quirk accidents and problem children and how he had his fair share of dealing with them. Katsuki didn’t find it in himself to listen to the rest. All he knew was that the yellow worm was there to guard him and probably eat him if he misbehaved. There was no way it would ever let him out, especially in this bad weather.
Katsuki left his room and hid behind the wall to see what it was up to in the common room.
He had his laptop open, sipping a jelly juice pouch. Once the clock strikes 4, that would be his opportunity to go because he would be getting another one. All he had to do was get the umbrella, be quiet and leave then he would be Izuku’s hero.
He returned to his room and dressed for the rainy weather biding his time.
When it was 4 pm, Katsuki tied his shoes in record time and took an umbrella. He silently left his room and went downstairs, waiting for the giant worm to turn his back and go to the kitchen. Once he was out of earshot, Katsuki sneakily went outside.
Katsuki did it. He got out without the villain noticing.
He couldn’t wait to see Izuku’s surprised face. Maybe receive praise or two for saving him.
Izuku’s meeting with All Might concluded early. They didn’t have much to talk about aside from how he was faring at taking care of his de-aged childhood friend. Fortunately, he didn’t have much trouble with Katsuki.
Izuku knew Katsuki the best, inside and out.
He took long strides, briskly walking the halls when he realized what time it was. He didn’t want to break his promise with Katsuki, knowing what he was like when throwing a tantrum. Just when he was about to round a corner, his phone started to vibrate.
“Is Bakugou with you?” Shouta asked with urgency.
Izuku blinked twice at the sudden call and told him no.
Once his teacher told him that Katsuki was missing, Izuku instantly ended the call and broke into a run. He refused to think about it, considering they were in UA, but the possibility of Katsuki being taken again was the one thing that blared in his mind.
He couldn’t afford to lose him again.
He jumped down from the flight of stairs, softening his landing with his quirk, and ran until he was outside, frantically looking everywhere, thinking where he could be taken.
His eyes darted to the forest where he trained. It was the perfect hiding spot. Without a second thought, he went in, ambling silently. He didn’t want to spook the villain into hurting Katsuki if he was heard. He was thankful that the rain muted some of the sounds he made.
Izuku could only hope that Katsuki was safe.
“Deku!”
Izuku shushed whoever made the noise before he suddenly froze in place, recognizing that tiny voice. He slowly turned to look behind him, blinking twice when he saw it was Katsuki in a yellow raincoat, holding an All Might umbrella.
“K-Kacchan?”
“Who else would it be stupid De—”
“Kacchan!”
Izuku scooped him up in his arms, wrapping them tightly around Katsuki, warm and protective as he rested his chin on the child’s shoulder. He could finally release a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
But Katsuki grunted and lightly pushed him away, picking up the umbrella he dropped when Izuku hugged him, none the wiser to the panic he caused.
“You’re getting us both wet, Deku.”
Izuku sheepishly smiled and apologized as he pulled back.
“What are you doing out here, Kacchan?”
“Stupid Deku forgot his umbrella so I got you one,” Then Katsuki looked down, shuffling his feet on the ground, “... didn’t want you to get sick. If you did, then we can’t watch All Might anymore.”
Izuku’s eyes softened. He didn’t think that Katsuki could get any cuter than this but apparently, he did. He couldn’t help but ruffle his spiky hair, making Katsuki jut out his lips more in a pout.
“That won’t happen because Kacchan saved me!”
“Damn right, I did.”
Izuku couldn’t bring himself to tell him off about his language. Watching that familiar smirk curl on Katsuki’s face was reassuring, relieved that he was safe from harm. He was so worried that he failed to realize how wet he was because of the downpour.
“Stop forgetting your umbrella, Deku.”
“I won’t. I promise.”
In fact, Izuku had an umbrella right now in his bag. He always brought one with him because Katsuki always reminded him to bring one.
But it was so sweet how little de-aged Katsuki did the same and more when he came all the way here just to fetch him an umbrella.
His heart couldn’t take this cuteness all at once.
Izuku took the umbrella from him, “Let’s go back to the dorms, Kacchan.”
Suddenly, Katsuki seized his sleeve and pulled it down, shaking his head.
“What’s wrong, Kacchan? Are you hurt?”
Katsuki shook his head again and just pulled more until Izuku grasped his tiny hand and squeezed, kneeling down to his level.
“You can tell me anything, Kacchan. I promise to keep it a secret.”
Katsuki reluctantly nodded and Izuku remained patient as Katsuki took his time to say what he wanted.
“I don’t wanna go back yet.”
Izuku raised his brow at this. Katsuki hated the rain ever since they were children. He knew that Katsuki would be more than eager to go back somewhere warm and cozy, away from the wet and cold. So his decision to stay outside longer made him confused.
“Why not?”
“Just because.” Then he added, “... the giant worm is scary.”
It took Izuku a moment to realize that he was referring to their homeroom teacher. He chuckled and ruffled Katsuki’s hair once more.
Kacchan’s so cute.
Katsuki pouted and swatted his hand away, “Shut up, Deku.”
Izuku stopped teasing him and gave in to his request to stay for a little longer.
Katsuki used to hate the rain for keeping him indoors, waiting and bored, unable to play with Izuku as they were both forced to stay in their homes to avoid being sick.
But now, Katsuki didn’t want to admit it out loud but he started to love the rain as he got to spend more time with Izuku like he always wanted. He didn’t even complain when Izuku held his hand and dragged him, teaching him the joy of the rain.
They ran through the forest, chasing each other, and then they danced under the rain, splashing around the puddles, sharing laughs and smiles.
And what happened after was the best thing.
Katsuki got to stay wrapped up in Izuku’s arms, leaning on his chest, feeling his warmth on him while Izuku made his head a chin rest again with little protests. They were both bundled up, sipping hot cocoa, watching that All Might movie.
Katsuki couldn’t wait for it to rain again.
