Hyperfocus - focussing intensely on something for a short time that either interests you or you need to get done (e.g planning for a holiday, revising the night before an exam, putting up a shelf you like)

Wheras Hyperfixation - was a more long term specific interest in something (tv, movie, celebrity) where you wanna watch their stuff, think about and talk about all the time. And buy anything to do with it

So about 4 months ago I ordered myself a provisional licence (£32) got sent the application in the post and had to send a passport style picture back on the application (which I’d had taken like a week before because I needed a new passport anyway)

So about 2 weeks ago I got a cheque for £32 in the post, once I figured out it was a refund for the license I thought “oh yeah I went down to the shops to print out extra passport pictures for the application but the shop didn’t do it so I never sent the application off”

Then yesterday I find a piece of paper at the back of the wardrobe and inside is 8 perfect passport pictures I’d printed off 8 months before (from the shops that I thought hadn’t done them)
