exploring the paris catacombs was one of my favourite adventures to date. shuffling through infinite corridors in the realm of souls that were here long before I was. although it may seem like the opposite, there is an indescribable calmness to these dank, hollow crypts. when you enter, it feels like being suddenly cut off from time & space. as each step sends me deeper and deeper into the labyrinth, the more I forget who I was before I ended up here. stay for too long, or take a wrong turn, and I am destined to end up just like the spirits that call this place home.

went to see a movie with Lila today. the cinema was at the end of a twisting path of stairs and escalators in a vapid, aged shopping mall. descending down, one cannot help but to feel nostalgic and slightly unsettled by the sight of the empty spaces, as if inhabited by ghosts. when were these seats last occupied? whose voice was the last to echo through these serpentine halls?
