Ectober Day 11: Another World

You’re walking alone in the forest with nothing but a flashlight. You hear rustling in the bushes, the sound of a heavy breath.

You walk faster. It follows.

Running, you stumble blindly, flashlight swinging wildly. Suddenly hear a crackling, staticky voice, sounding as though it’s right in your ear, hiss, “Shhh. Did you hear that?”

Whirling around, flashlight beam cutting through the darkness in a sweeping arc, you see—

Day 10, cryptid Danny! Just going around accidentally spooking the locals, because he’s too chicken to wander the woods at night as a squishy human. He... wasn't supposed to look that similar to the other Danny design but apparently I can't help myself....

Danny doesn’t know what the hell that was either, that’s why he was asking you! Originally I was going to make him hissing at the light but it was too hard to do much expression when his face is 1 cm :/

The idea was a sweeping flashlight with a person wandering in the woods getting spooked by noises only to run into a real ass ghost. Bit of a stretch... sorry!

Where’s your helmet, Jason. WHERE IS IT

I know he’d be wearing his helmet if he was doing Red Hood stuff, but I wanted to draw his face and then I remembered the prompt was reckless and having him ride a motorcycle without a helmet for the prompt tickled me pink. Because he’s not reckless because he‘s clobbering rogues in a pit rage and doing definitely unsafe stunts while still on his motorcycle, no. That’s fine. It’s because he forgot helmet safety.

Going with an OC for this one! Which, I know, not what the masses want but can’t do fan art for every one 😅

While doing this one, it almost looked (to my admittedly untrained eye) that I knew what I was doing. I do not, in fact, have any idea and it’s made me realize why so many artists are so good but still say that they don’t know how to do xxx and aren’t a solid source of info. We’re just making it up, I’m afraid 😔

Inktober 2025 Day 3: Crown — “Be not afraid, or whatever”

Just having fun playing around and being a little silly with my favorite spooky boy for the spooky season!

Going extra spook with eldritch abomination/Ghost King Danny. Specifically, loosely inspired by all “Justice League summons the ghost king” fics including Be Not Afraid (or Whatever) by @inthememetime, but not totally based on any particular one. Just my own take!

I wanted him to still look like a teenage boy, but also be spooky and definitely not what you want coming out of a summoning circle. Mostly spooky but a little hint of frost and space with his thick fur cloak that’s an inverted space pattern, where the stars glow like black holes. Also a little ice core in the middle! Boss monsters always gotta have a weak point, right?

Guys, he’s looking so friendly. So come-in-peace-y. I don’t know how much more explicit he can be, he’s doing the Vulcan salute (because ghost speak is incomprehensible and does psychic damage)! Oh, what, do his claws not look Vulcan enough? This is discrimination😤

Inktober 2025 Day 2: Weave

This is not going the way I wanted >:( …I’ll still post it and add all the tags but let it know that I’m not happy with it.

I could fix it a little but I’m tired of staring at it, so I’m calling it. I think Inktober art will have to be less complex, one day is definitely not enough for me to do this 🫠. Or maybe it just needs to not be ink… But also I’m just bad at anything that’s not faces, so maybe it’s just me!

Anyways maybe I’ll retry a Gale and Mystra concept for day 6, so tune in then if you’re interested? Hopefully it’ll be better…

Day 1: Mustache

First time trying Inktober! Honestly also one of my first times attempting to illustrate something of my own(?) art. I mean, it’s fanart, so is it mine…? Also one of my first times posting online, so a lot of firsts I guess!

Anyways decided to go with our boy Rhys and his much hated siege mustache!
